Abstract

As the sheer volume of uncatalogued special collection materials, especially 18th- and 19th-century, continues to mount, cataloguers find themselves faced with the serious dilemma of how to provide bibliographic control to this material in the most cost-effective, timely manner possible. Describes how the Library of Congress is using enhanced minimal-level cataloguing to provide access to pamphlets, one of the most prevalent forms of 18th- and 19th-century publications
