    Abstract
Reviews the literature dealing with information seeking behaviour by pure scientists and engineers. Information technology is advancing at a such rapid rate that engineers and pure scientists ought to know how to locate and use the right kind of literature pertinent to their respective field. In this respect, the role to be played by the science/reference librarians is very critical

    Abstract
The rapid developments in information technology, networks (Internet and WWW), document delivery and user training, as well as economic changes, mean that the conventional role of librarians as information intermediaries must undergo an inevitable change. The imminent arrival of virtual reality, (the receiving of imagese enabling direct interaction with the information), will force librarians to reeducate themselves if they are ready to avoid being displaced by a variety of contenders in the information business. Reviews the impact of technological changes on academic library functions and services in particular
