- Abstract
- Dieser Beitrag behandelt - aus einer interdisziplinären Perspektive - die Bedeutung der Interkulturalität für die Gestaltung in und mit der Informatik im Zeitalter zunehmender Globalisierung. In diesem Zusammenhang wird, um die Rolle der Kultur in der Kommunikation zu verstehen, auf linguistisch-empirische Untersuchungen zur schriftlichen Kommunikation eingegangen und ihre Brauchbarkeit für die Gestaltung hinterfragt. Anschließend wird der Frage nach Möglichkeiten und Grenzen des interkulturellen Verstehens und Dialoges in der Philosophie nachgegangen, um daraus Rechtfertigungen für die interkulturelle Orientierung in der Informatik zu erarbeiten. Schließlich werden aktuelle informatische Entwicklungen in interkulturellen Kontexten diskutiert.

- Abstract
- Der Autor stellt einen Erklärungsansatz im Kontext der Mensch-Computer-Interaktion vor. Erklärungen dienen dazu, Entscheidungen des Systems für den Benutzer verständlich bzw. nachvollziehbar zu machen. Sie müssen daher an den Wissensstand des Benutzers angepaßt werden. Gestützt auf die Analyse aktueller pragmatischer Erklärungsmodelle aus der Wissenschaftstheorie und der Künstlichen Intelligenz Forschung (KI) wird für einen umfassenden Erklärungsansatz plädiert, welcher wissensbasierte Methoden aus der KI mit den nicht-linearen und flexiblen Eigenschaften des neuen Mediums Hypertext kombiniert. Dabei werden vor allem Techniken der Benutzermodellierung, der adaptiven Textgenerierung und des Information Retrieval sowie des Hypertext berücksichtigt, um sowohl dem System als auch dem Benutzer aktives Vorgehen und flexible Dialoge bei Erklärungssituationen zu ermöglichen. Im Vordergrund der Darstellung stehen unter anderem Verfahren zur Generierung von Fragemenüs und von Erklärungen, welche dem Arbeitskontext und der Erklärungssituation sowie den Benutzerinteressen gerecht werden. - Abstract
- Design- und Usability-Guidelines stellen Erfahrungswissen und Empfehlungen/ Anweisungen zum Design von interaktiven Systemen dar. Dieser Beitrag beschreibt die Entwicklung und Evaluation eines Web-basierten Tools zum Management von Guidelines. Das Werkzeug hat zum Ziel, Systementwickler und Usability-Experten sowie auch Studierende in der Ausbildung dabei zu unterstützen, Guidelines zu verwalten und in Nutzungssituationen abzurufen. Der Beitrag beschreibt die theoretischen Grundlagen sowie die Funktionalitäten des Systems und präsentiert die ersten Evaluationsergebnisse.

- Abstract
- In diesem Beitrag werden Aspekte der Multilingualität für die Hypertextforschung behandelt. Dabei werden einige Ergebnisse empirischer Arbeit zu interlingualen Textvergleichen vorgestellt und davon ausgehend ihre Anwendbarkeit auf Hypertext diskutiert. Darüberhinaus wird auf ein für Text und Hypertexte gleichermaßen wichtiges Diskursphänomen, die Konnektivität kontrastiv im Türkischen und Deutschen eingegangen.
