    Klempert, der Administrator war, bevor sein Fulltime-Job bei Wikimedia als Organisator, Fundraiser und PR-Mann ihm die Zeit dafür raubte, nennt sie "Textgärtner". Was diese Online-Grünpfleger so machen? Klempert zitiert Spiegel-Autor Manfred Dworschak, der dafür die liebevolle Beschreibung fand: "Sie stutzen Wildwuchs, bringen Gliederungen in Form und jäten vor dem Schlafengehen noch schnell ein paar unsinnige Apostrophe." Klingt harmlos, aber tatsächlich lastet auf den Administratoren große Verantwortung. Sie müssen nicht nur eingreifen, wenn "Vandalen" die Lexikoneinträge unbrauchbar machen. Wie voriges Jahr, als Schüler in der Mit-tagspause auf die Idee kamen, vom Schul-PC aus 50 Artikel mit dem Zusatz "Unser Lehrer ist doof" u versehen. Oder als ein Journalist testhalber 17 Fehler in Texte hineinschmuggelte, um zu verfolgen, wie lange es dauert, bis sie korrigiert würden. "Wenn so was passiert, wird die IP-Adresse des Computer-Netzwerks gesperrt, von dem aus das gemacht wurde`; sagt Klempert. Das klappt nicht so einfach bei Privat-Computern, die über einen Provider ins Netz gehen und bei jeder Einwahl eine neue IP-Adresse (IP wie "Internet Protocol") zugeteilt bekommen. "Vandalen, die zu Hause zuschlagen, verlieren aber meist schnell die Lust, wenn sie gleich wieder gesperrt werden." Ein anderer "Selbstreinigungsmodus" (Klempert) greift beim "Edit-War`; beim Krieg der Autoren. Wurde ein Text von WikiSchreibern mehrfach hin und her geändert, sperrt der Administrator die betreffende Seite erst einmal. Die Kontrahenten müssen sich auf einer Diskussionsseite einigen, die zu jedem Wikipedia-Eintrag existiert. Erst dann wird der Lexikon-Beitrag wieder geöffnet. In dem Link "Autoren/Versionen" oben auf jeder Wiki-Seite lässt sich die Entstehungsgeschichte jedes Artikels nachvollziehen. "Automatisch werden hier die IPAdressen gespeichert`, sagt Klempert. So sind auch die Eingriffe bei den Texten über die Bundestagsabgeordneten aufgeflogen.
