- Mit einem Plädoyer zugunsten der Wirtschaftsfreiheit hat sich Sachsens Ministerpräsident Kurt Biedenkopf in die Debatte um die Ausgestaltung der Kommunikationsgesellschaft eingeschaltet und eine neue Medienpolitik gefordert. Biedenkopf sprach am 9.9.98 in Gütersloh bei einem Symposium der Bertelsmann Stiftung mit dem Thema 'Kommunikationsordnung 2000 - Innovation und Verantwdortung in der Informationsgesellschaft'

- Abstract
- Als experimentelles Förderprogramm des BMFT zielte der Modellversuch Informationsvermittlung darauf ab, die Nutzung von Online-Datenbankinformationen in unterschiedlichen institutionellen Bereichen anzuregen, zu erproben und zu intensivieren. Der Beitrag geht auf den besonderen Charakter des dem Modellversuch zugrundeliegenden Förderkonzepts ein, erläutert das Design der flankierenden Unterstützungsmaßnahmen und wissenschaftlichen Analysen und umreißt die Methoden der begleitenden Datenerhebung und -auswertung. Die Zusammensetzung und Struktur der sowohl in privaten Beratungsunternehmen, in nicht-kommerziellen wirtschaftsnah arbeitenden Einrichtungen als auch in Hochschul- und Forschungsinstituten geförderten Stellen wird beschrieben, und es werden die wichtigsten Auswertungen über das Rechercheverhalten der untersuchten Informationsvermittler präsentiert

- Abstract
- Für eine fiktive Dokumentmenge wird eine Dokument-Wort-Matrix erstellt und mittels zweier Suchanfragen, ebenfalls als Matrix dargestellt, die Retrievalergebnisse ermittelt. Den Wörtern der Dokumentmenge werden in einem zweiten Schritt Aspekte zugeordnet und die Untersuchung erneut durchgeführt. Ein Vergleich bestätigt die schon früher gefundenen Vorteile des aspektischen Indexierung gegenüber anderen Methoden der Retrievalverbesserung, wie Trunkierung und Controlled Terms
