    Das Image pflegen oder aufbauen, Experimente machen und Erfahrungen sammeln, die Leser-Blatt-Bindung fördern und das Printprodukt stärken, den Anschluß an den Wettbewerb halten und die Weichen zum modernen Medienkonzern stellen, ein lukratives Nebengeschäft machen oder bloße 'Abfallverwertung' betreiebn, den Fuß in der Tür oder schon über die Schwelle - die Gründe der zeitungs- und Zeitschriftenverleger, sich im wieder einmal neuen Geschäftsfeld des Elektronischen Publizierens in seinen diversen Spielarten zu betätigen, sind vielfältig.     Technische Publikationen sind typischerweise komplex, umfangreich und langlebig. Erstellung, Pflege und Aufbereitung für unterschiedliche Benutzungsanforderungen verlangen ein effektives organisatorisches Konzept. Enge Zeit- und Budgetvorgaben erfordern ein hohes Maß an Automatisierung und Modularität im produktionsprozeß. Zur Erfüllung dieser Anforderungen im Rahmen einer Compound Document Processing Architecture ist die systemunabhängige Dokumentstruktur-Beschreibungssprache SGML (ISO 8879) ein erster wichtiger Baustein, weitere (z.B.
