    Abstract
    In ihrer mittlerweile klassisch gewordenen Arbeit haben Peter L. Berger und Thomas Luckmann die Wissenssoziologie auf eine neue Basis gestellt. Mit dem begrifflichen Instrumentarium von Philosophie, Anthropologie, Sozialpsychologie und Sprachwissenschaft gehen sie der Frage nach, durch welche Prozesse sich für die Mitglieder von Gesellschaften eine intersubjektiv geteilte, gemeinsame Wirklichkeit herausbildet: wie die Formen der Vermittlung zwischen der objektiven Wirklichkeit der Gesellschaft, die durch soziale Interaktionen hervorgebracht, institutionell verstetigt und in vielfältiger Weise tradiert wird, und die subjektiven Bildungsprozesse der beteiligten individuen zu verstehen sind.

    Abstract
    Ein noch wenig systematisch erforschtes Feld ist die Beziehung zwischen Wissenschaft und Öffentlichkeit, die langdauernder und intensiver zu wirken scheint, als man gemeinhin glaubt. Deutlich macht das z.B. derzeit das Einstein-Jahr, das daran erinnert, wie sehr Einstein und seine Arbeiten in der Öffentlichkeit standen und wie sehr die Öffentlichkeit sich auch auf seine Wissenschaft einließ. Vermutlich war es vor allem das Konzept der "Relativität", das an der Schnittstelle zur Öffentlichkeit besondere Aufmerksamkeit fand, weil es auch zum Zeitgeist der Zwanziger Jahre passte - weswegen eben Einstein ein Star und Planck nur Namensgeber der wichtigen Forschungsgemeinschaft wurde. Wahrscheinlich war es dann das Konzept des "Atom", das als Schnittstellenkonzept fungierte, und zwar schon vor der Atombombe als Konzept, das wegen seiner Bedeutung für den Aufbau der Welt faszinierend wirkte. In den Sechziger Jahren spielte als Schnittstellenkonzept ohne Zweifel das Konzept "Information" eine zentrale Rolle, ausgehend von Shannon/Weaver und dann mit der Kybernetik sich verbreitend. Das klang gleichzeitig nach Rationalität und Überwindung alter Grenzen, schließlich wurde die Kybernetik auch nicht ganz zu Unrecht als "transklassische Wissenschaft" bezeichnet. In den Sechziger und z.T. auch den Siebziger Jahren wurde viel und innovativ mit dem Informationskonzept experimentiert, entstanden interessante Ansätze zur Informationstheorie. Der Siegeszug der elektronischen Datenverarbeitung und später die rein kommerzielle Interpretation von "Information" im Kontext der Diskussionen zur "Informationsgesellschaft" trugen zur vollständigen semantischen Entleerung des Informationskonzeptes bei.

    Abstract
    Dieser Beitrag beschreibt die Rolle von Information und Kommunikation in den Wirtschaftswissenschaften. Information als handlungsorientiertes Betrachtungsobjekt ist Bindeglied insbesondere zwischen der Betriebswirtschaftslehre und der Wirtschaftsinformatik. Zugunsten erleichterter Zugänglichkeit konzentriert sich die Literaturauswahl auf relevante Standardquellen dieser beiden Disziplinen. Wichtige Primärquellen sind benannt und können für eine vertiefende Nacharbeit der referenzierten Literatur entnommen werden.

    Abstract
    Diskussionen um Datennetze und Informationstechnik drehen sich häufig um kompetentes Handeln. In der Publikation werden Voraussetzungen eines autonomen informationellen Handelns gezeigt: Abstrahieren, Analogien bilden, Plausibilitäten beachten, Schlussfolgern und kreativ sein. Informationelle Kompetenz ist gelebte Informationelle Autonomie. Es lassen sich Konsequenzen für ein zukünftiges Menschenbild in informationstechnischen Umgebungen ziehen.

    Abstract
    Informationstechnik wird im vorliegenden Werk umfassend als diejenige Technik verstanden, die der Speicherung, dem Transport und der Verarbeitung von Information dient. Im Gegensatz zu jeder sonstigen Technik, die ausschließlich vom Erkenntnisfundament der Physik getragen wird, benötigt die Informationstechnik zusätzlich ein nichtphysikalisches Erkenntnisfundament, welches man Informatik nennen kann, falls man diese nicht als die "Wissenschaft des Programmierens", sondern als die "Wissenschaft von den interpretierten Systemen" versteht. Die Machbarkeit informationstechnischer Systeme beruht auf der Formalisierbarkeit der Strukturen, die man bei der Analyse des menschlichen Kommunizierens und logischen Schließens findet. Diese informationellen Strukturen werden in den drei Kapiteln des Buches behandelt. Zuerst wird der Informationsbegriff und sein Umfeld - mit den Schwerpunkten Sprache und Logik - besprochen. Anschließend folgt die Betrachtung des Systembegriffs und seines Umfeldes, wobei die Modellierung im Mittelpunkt steht. Im letzten Kapitel werden die vorgestellten Begriffswelten zur umfassenden Begriffswelt der informationellen Systeme mit den Schwerpunkten Kommunikation und Programmierung integriert.     Abstract
    Das Buch ist ein fachübergreifendes Werk und richtet sich an Studenten, Dozenten und interessierte Laien aus allen Bereichen moderner Wissenschaft und Technik, insbesondere Informatik, Informationstechnik, den Natur- und Ingenieurwissenschaften. Der Informationsbegriff ist in aller Munde. Fast jeder gebraucht ihn intuitiv.     Abstract
    Der Titel kann auf zweierlei Art verstanden werden: Als Beitrag von Semiotik/Sprachwissenschaft zum Bereich des Information Retrieval bzw. (allgemeiner) zu einer Theorie der Information oder als Frage zu einem Informationsbegriff in den "Disziplinen" Semiotik/Sprachwissenschaft. Im vorliegenden Zusammenhang wird aus praktischen Gründen auf den ersten Aspekt eingegangen.     Abstract
    Mit der sogenannten kognitiven Wende in der Psychologie in den 1970er Jahren wurde das behavioristische Modell der Psychologie durch das kognitive Modell abgelöst. Während der Behaviorismus davon ausging, dass Verhalten vollständig durch Umweltbedingungen bestimmt ist, und als methodisches Prinzip formulierte, dass nur das unmittelbar beobachtbare Verhalten Gegenstand der Psychologie sein dürfe, sind nach dem kognitiven Modell Kognitionen der Hauptgegenstand der Psychologie (Lit. 01). Unter Kognitionen werden alle Prozesse des Wahrnehmens, Urteilens, Erinnerns, Problemlösens und Entscheidens und die Strukturen des Gedächtnisses, z. B. Begriffe und Einstellungen, verstanden. Im kognitiven Modell wird menschliches Handeln nicht als direkte Reaktion auf den Input von Informationen aus der Umwelt angesehen. Zwischengeschaltet ist der aktive Prozess der Kognition bzw. Informationsverarbeitung, bei dem die Person die Umwelt aktiv nach jenen Informationen absucht, die sie beispielweise für eine Entscheidung braucht.

    Abstract
    Menschen verfügen über ein breites Handlungsrepertoire und umfangreiches Wissen. Wir können laufen und sprechen, viele von uns sogar in verschiedenen Sprachen. Wir wissen, wie man ein Auto fährt, dass Mozart ein Komponist war, und fürchten uns, wenn uns ein aggressiver Hund begegnet. Ohne dieses vielfältige Wissen wären wir nicht in der Lage, uns in der Welt zurechtzufinden und zu behaupten. Einen großen Teil dieses Wissens haben wir durch Beobachten unserer Artgenossen gelernt (Beobachtungslernen). Anderes haben wir gelernt, weil die Umwelt auf unsere Handlungen reagiert. Reagiert die Umwelt positiv auf eine unserer Handlungen, dann zeigen wir diese Handlung in Zukunft häufiger, reagiert sie negativ, lassen wir es eher bleiben (operantes Konditionieren). Viele Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten erwerben wir aber dadurch, dass wir extern vorliegende Informationen aufnehmen und so verarbeiten, dass dabei neues Wissen entsteht. Psychologen sprechen hier von menschlicher Informationsverarbeitung oder kognitivem Lernen, um zum Ausdruck zu bringen, dass die Informationen durch ein verstehendes, kognitives System verarbeitet werden. Das kognitive Lernen steht im Fokus dieses Beitrages. Die hohe Bedeutung des kognitiven Lernens gerade im Zeitalter der Informationsgesellschaft liegt auf der Hand: Mächtige und effiziente Formen der externen Speicherung von Wissen stellen nur dann einen Vorteil dar, wenn die Mechanismen, mit denen wir aus Information Wissen schaffen, vergleichbar mächtig und effizient sind.

    Abstract
    Wie ein Blick in die jeweiligen Fachwörterbücher zeigt, ist der Stellenwert des Informationsbegriffs in der Politikwissenschaft sehr viel geringer als in der Wirtschaftswissenschaft oder in der Psychologie. Eine Durchsicht politikwissenschaftlicher Lehrbücher bestätigt diesen Eindruck, und es findet sich auch kein politikwissenschaftliches Staudardwerk, in dem "Information" eine Titelrolle spielt. Die Politikwissenschaft hat keinen spezifisch auf die Belange "kollektiv bindender Entscheidung" zugeschnittenen Informationsbegriff entwickelt. Bei genauerem Hinsehen zeigt sich allerdings, dass "Information" implizit als eine Grundbedingung politischen Handelns seit jeher im systematischen politischen Denken präsent ist, und zwar in allen Dimensionen eines kommunikationsbasierten Informationsbegriffs: sachlich als in kommunikative Form gebrachtes unwahrscheinliches Wissen ("Nachricht"), sozial als eine asymmetrische Form von Kommunikation ("Unterrichtung") und prozessual als "Verringerung von Ungewissheit durch Kommunikation". Dies wird im folgenden zunächst historisch und dann systematisch dargelegt.
