- Abstract
- Um dem Informationsbedarf in der Lehre, Forschung und Krankenversorgung sowie für die Weiter- und Fortbildung gerecht zu werden, hat sich die Medizin über Jahrtausende hinweg der verschiedensten, meist in technischer Hinsicht am fortgeschrittensten Medien bedient. Mitte der 60er Jahre eröffnete sich eine neue Ära im Informations- und Wissenstransfer durch die Entwicklungsfortschritte der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien. Neue Medien wie CD-ROM-Datenbanken und weltweite Computernetze ermöglichten die Digitalisierung medizinischer Information und erlaubten deren Verbreitung in digitaler Form in Echtzeit. Heute finden wir in der Medizin und im Gesundheitswesen eine Situation vor, in der die neuen digitalen Medien parallel zu den konventionellen Printmedien genutzt werden, diese in manchen Fällen substituieren oder völling neue Informations- und Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten schaffen. Die erste Euphorie über die neuen Medien wird zunehmend ergänzt durch eine differenziertere Einschätzung der Technikfolgen, welche auch den weitreichenden sozio-kulturellen Auswirkungen Beachtung schenkt

- Abstract
- In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden 4 Abfrageoberflächen unterschiedlicher Retrievalsysteme, die für die Mitarbeiter des Umweltbundesamtes Berlin zugänglich sind, im Hinblick auf Nutzerfreundlichkeit und intuitiver Bedienbarkeit vergleichend untersucht. Der 'Einfachdialog' und die Oberfläche der 'Umwelt-CD' greifen auf die Datenbestände der Umweltdatenbanken zu. Berücksichtigt werden hierbei die Oberflächen zur Recherche in ULIDAT und UFORDAT. Das Metadatensystem UDK (Umweltdatenkatalog) wird in der PC-Version, dem 'UDK-UBA', und in der WWW-Variante in die Untersuchung einbezogen

- Abstract
- Beitrag ist die komprimierte Überarbeitung von Seminarunterlagen für eine im September 1993 geplante, wegen einer plötzlichen Erkrankung des Co-Referenten leider abgesetzte Fortbildungsveranstaltung von AKRIBIE. Themen sind die (umfangreichen) Benutzerkomponenten, die Datex-J zur Verfügung stellt und von denen die dargestellten Auskunfts- und Informationssysteme lediglich einen schmalen Ausschnitt der Leistungsfähigkeit dieses Dienstes darstellen. Gezeigt wird, wie die aufliegenden Informationen strukturiert sind, wie man bestimmte Grundfunktionen anwählt oder welche Seitennummern in der Dialogführung besonders wichtig sind. Aus dem äußerst heterogenen und nicht leicht durchschaubaren Angebot illustrieren wir Ihnen dann aus verschiedenen Sachbereichen einige exemplarische und aktuelle Informations-beispiele dieses elektronischen Mediums. - Abstract
- Nach Abschluß des von der DFG geförderten Projektes 'SSG-Fachinformationssysteme im Internet' legt die Projektgruppe der SUB Göttingen eine ausführliche Dokumentation des Projektkonzeptes vor. Ziel des Projektes war es, ein bibliothekarisches Konzept zu entwickeln, wie Internet-Ressourcen - wobei hierunter nicht einzelne elektronische Dokumente verstanden werden, sondern sog. thematische Server - in das Sammel- und Erschließungskonzept einer wissenschaftlichen Biblithek integriert werden können
