Abstract

Neue Medien wie Internet, Online-Dienste, CD-ROM und EP sind erfolgversprechende Geschäftsfelder mit einem enormen Wachstumspotential. Nicht nur die technischen Grundlagen und Zusammenhänge werden immer komplexer, sondern auch juristische Probleme. Rechtliche Fragestellungen treten dabei sowohl bei der Anwendung und Nutzung als auch der Weiterverarbeitung der Informationen bzw. elektronischen Daten auf. Dabei kann nur vereinzelt auf Präzedenzfälle zurückgegriffen werden. In diesem Werk werden die relevanten rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen im Zusammenhang mit elektronischen Medien aufgezeigt, wird auf bestehende Lücken hingewiesen und ein Ausblick auf zukünftige Regelungen im nationalen und Internationalen Bereich gegeben. Neben dem Urheber-, Urhebervertrags- und Verlagsrecht wird das Wettbewerbs- und Werberecht sowie das Datenschutzgesetz behandelt. Einbezogen wird auch der Komplex internationales Wirtschaftsrecht, bei dem Vertrags- und Haftungsfragen besondere Berücksichtigung finden

Abstract

Anwendung und Nutzen, aber auch Probleme des Umgangs mit dem Internet in Öffentlichen Bibliotheken bilden den Inhalt der Referate, die bei einem dreitägigen Seminar in der Nähe Göttingen gehalten wurden und in diesem Band veröffentlicht werden. Hardware- und softwaretechnische Aspekte, juristische, organisatorische und gestalterische Gesichtspunkte sowie Aspekte der Erschließung des Internets wurden in Vorträgen fundiert dargelegt.
