    Abstract
    Der vorliegende Artikel beleuchtet die Perspektiven und Grenzen der Einführung von partizipatorischen Elementen in die traditionelle bibliothekarische Sacherschließung. Die Universitätsbibliothek Mannheim untersucht im vorgestellten Projekt, welchen Beitrag Collaborative Tagging für die inhaltliche Erschließung von bisher nicht erschlossenen und daher der Nutzung kaum zugänglichen Dokumenten, beispielsweise auf Volltextservern oder in elektronischen Zeitschriften, leisten kann.

    Abstract
    Die Popularität von Tagging-Ansätzen hat gezeigt, dass dieses Ordnungsprinzip für Nutzer insbesondere auf kollaborativen Plattformen deutlich zugänglicher ist als strukturierte und kontrollierte Vokabulare. Allerdings stoßen Tagging-Ansätze oft an ihre Grenzen, wo sie keine ausreichende semantische Präzision ausbilden können. Umgekehrt können ontologiebasierte Ansätze zwar die semantische Präzision erreichen, werden jedoch (besonders aufgrund der schwerfälligen Pflegeprozesse) von den Nutzern kaum akzeptiert. Wir schlagen eine Verbindung beider Welten vor, die auf einer neuen Sichtweise auf die Entstehung von Ontologien fußt: die Ontologiereifung. Anhand zweier Werkzeuge aus dem Bereich des Social Semantic Bookmarking und der semantischen Bildsuche zeigen wir, wie Anwendungen aussehen können, die eine solche Ontologiereifung (in die jeweiligen Nutzungsprozesse integriert) ermöglichen und fördern.

    Abstract
    »Die rasante Entwicklung des BOND Community System (BCS) übertrifft unsere Erwartungen«, erklärt Andreas Serr, Produktmanager der BOND-Tochter BOND Library Service GmbH &Co. KG (BLS). Bereits über 10.000 neue Datensätze wurden in den letzten Monaten von BOND-Kunden für BOND-Kunden in den gemeinsamen Datenpool erfasst. Tendenz schnell steigend. Der komplette Katalogisate-Pool, der den Nutzern kostenlos zur Verfügung steht, umfasst inzwischen fast 700.000 Katalogisate. »Das Schöne an BCS ist, dass alle davon profitieren«, unterstreicht Serr. Den Teilnehmern entstehen weder Kosten noch Mehrarbeit. Die Datenübernahme erfolgt bequem per Mausklick aus dem Daten-Pool direkt in den eigenen Katalog. Fast noch einfacher ist es, Daten in BCS zur Verfügung zu stellen. Man erfasst sein Katalogisat wie immer. Mit dem Klick zum Abspeichern landen die Daten automatisch im BCS-Pool. »Damit macht man mit seiner täglichen Arbeit viele andere Bibliotheken glücklich«, ergänzt Serr. Dank der großen Zahl und der Kooperationsbereitschaft der BOND-Anwender funktioniert das System jetzt schon prächtig. »Irgendwie ist die Idee genial und einfach zugleich!« schrieb eine Kundin, die seit Mitte März am BCS teilnimmt. Wie wird man BCS Teilnehmer? Am BCS teilnehmen können alle Anwender von BIBLIOTHECA 2000 (ab Version 2.9) und BIBLIOTHECA.net (Version 2.1). Die Erst-Anmeldung erfolgt per Anmelde-PDF, das unter www.library-service.de/ bcs.htm zum Download bereitsteht. Die Freischaltung erfolgt dann in der Regel innerhalb 24 Stunden.

    Abstract
    Social-Tagging-Systeme ermöglichen die Annotation beliebiger Ressourcen mit nutzerbasierten Metadaten. Ressourcen wurden in diesem Zusammenhang stets als Ganzes betrachtet, ohne dass eine differenzierte Annotation einzelner Ressourcen-Fragmente möglich war. Dies fällt insbesondere bei zeitabhängigen Multimediadaten, wie z. B. Videodaten ins Gewicht, da der Nutzer oft nur an einzelnen Szenen einer umfangreichen Videodatei interessiert ist. Dieser Beitrag stellt eine einfache Möglichkeit der zeitbezogenen, kollaborativen Annotation von Multimediadaten vor und veranschaulicht deren Umsetzung am Beispiel der Videosuchmaschine yovisto.

    Abstract
    In diesem Kapitel wird die zentrale Bedeutung der Annotation von Webdokumenten bzw. von Ressourcen in einem Semantischen Web diskutiert. Es wird auf aktuelle Methoden und Techniken in diesem Gebiet eingegangen, insbesondere wird das Phänomen "Social Tagging" als zentrales Element eines "Social Semantic Webs" beleuchtet. Weiters wird der Frage nachgegangen, welchen Mehrwert "Tag Recommender" beim Annotationsvorgang bieten, sowohl aus Sicht des End-Users aber auch im Sinne eines kollaborativen Ontologieerstellungsprozesses. Schließlich wird ein Funktionsprinzip für einen semi-automatischen Tag-Recommender vorgestellt unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Anwendbarkeit in einem Corporate Semantic Web.
