    Abstract
    Terminologieprobleme spielen eine wichtige Rolle bei der Beutzung von Softwaredokumentationen in gedruckter und elektronischer Form. Vor allem beim Zugriff auf Hilfeinformationen und bei der Umsetzung von Hilfeanweisungen treten terminologiebedingte Schwierigkeiten auf, die die Arbeit mit Software erschweren und ihre Benutzerfreundlichkeit verringern. Hilfeagenten könnten helfen, die Benutzerfreundlichkeit von Softwaredokumentationen zu verbessern. In einer Usability-Studie wurde in Benutzertests mit lautem Denken untersucht, wie sich terminologiebedingte Probleme auf die Arbeit mit dem Hilfeagenten Karl Klammer von Microsoft Office 97 auswirken und wie sie die Benutzerfreundlichkeit der Online-Dokumentation verringern

    Abstract
    Trotz des weit gefassten Zeitrahmens brachte die Konferenz wichtige Aspekte der zukünftigen Entwicklungen deutlich zum Ausdruck. Es zeigte sich klar, dass es den generellen Nutzer nicht gibt und eine gute Kommunikation und Differenzierung für verschiedene Bewertungen dringend erforderlich ist. Professionelle Rechercheure sind für qualifizierte Analysen insbesondere im Patentbereich unumgänglich. Immer stärker wird nach der Verbindung unterschiedlicher Datenformate und Fachbereiche verlangt, die damit verbundenen Probleme insbesondere bei Verarbeitung und Archivierung sind erkannt und werden bearbeitet. Die Einbindung von Webinformationen hat sich IBM mit dem Web Fountain Projekt auf die Fahnen geschrieben, weist aber gleichzeitig darauf hin, dass die Auswertung großer Datenmengen durch Text Mining noch nicht ausgereift sei. Geschäftsmodelle, die sich für die Zukunft eignen sind noch nicht erkennbar. Nach wie vor wird auf das Anzeigengeschäft abgehoben. Die Open Access Initiative wird als unumgänglich angesehen, doch eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit den Verlegern wird empfohlen, um Schaden für Wissenschaft und Forschung durch unausgereiftes Vorgehen zu vermeiden.

    Abstract
    Alexandria is an innovation of international impact. It is the only multilingual dictionary for websites and PCs. A double click on a word opens a small window that gives interactive translations between 22 languages and includes meaning, synonyms and associated expressions. It is an ASP application grounded on a semantic network that is portable on any operating system or platform. Behind the application is the Integral Dictionary is the semantic network created by Memodata. Alexandria can be customized with specific vocabulary, descriptive articles, images, sounds, videos, etc. Its domains of application are considerable: e-tourism, online medias, language learning, international websites. Alexandria has also proved to be a basic tool for knowledge management purposes. The application can be customized according to a user or an organization needs. An application dedicated to mobile devices is currently being developed. Future developments are planned in the field of e-tourism in relation with French "pôles de compétitivité".

    Abstract
    Die moderne Wissenschaftsentwicklung ist durch eine zunehmende interdisziplinäre (multidisziplinäre) Verflechtung unterschiedlicher Wissensgebiete gekennzeichnet. Neue Erkenntnisse werden immer mehr in den Grenzgebieten zwischen den traditionellen Fachdisziplinen gewonnen. Problembearbeiter, Erfinder und dergl. benötigen also in erster Linie Wissen aus diesen Grenzgebieten oder Wissensteile aus u.U. klassifikatorisch sehr entfernt liegenden Gebieten, um spezielle Probleme lösen zu können. Die Arbeit in interdisziplinären Forschungsgruppen wird dadurch erschwert, dass in den verschiedenen Fachdisziplinen unterschiedliche Ordnungssysteme und Fachterminologien existieren. Auch sind die individuell unterschiedlichen Aspekte, unter denen das zu verarbeitende Wissen betrachtet werden kann ein Hindernis für die gegenseitige Verständigung. Die traditionellen Klassifikationen sind nicht geeignet, um dem multidisziplinären Zustand des Wissens gerecht zu werden. Es wird daher vorgeschlagen, eine disziplinunabhängige Ordung anzuwenden, die durch Anwendung des Kategorien prinzips erreicht werden kann. Die Möglichkeiten der graphischen Methode wird an verschiedenen Beispielen erläutert. Es wird darauf hingewiesen, dass in einer Definition des Begriffs "Wissensorgani sation" auch neuere Erkenntnisse der kognitiven Psychologie, der Neurobiologie und der semantischen Informationstheorie Berücksichtigung finden müssen.
