Abstract: Die HRK sieht sich künftig für die bundesweite strategische Koordination des Handlungsfeldes "Informationskompetenz" verantwortlich. Um das Zusammenwirken an der Schnittstelle zwischen den Fakultäten bzw. Fachbereichen einerseits und den Bibliotheken und Rechenzentren andererseits zu verbessern, richtet die HRK eine Arbeitsgruppe ein, die Prozesse an der o. g. Schnittstelle jeweils mit Blick auf ausgewählte Fächer in regelmäßigen Zeitabständen begleitet und Vorschläge zur Verbesserung der Zusammenarbeit formuliert. Die Politik in Bund und Ländern sollte ihren Anteil am Aufbau solcher Strukturen leisten und die notwendigen Maßnahmen finanziell unterstützen.
