    Abstract
    Beitrag ist die komprimierte Überarbeitung von Seminarunterlagen für eine im September 1993 geplante, wegen einer plötzlichen Erkrankung des Co-Referenten leider abgesetzte Fortbildungsveranstaltung von AKRIBIE. Themen sind die (umfangreichen) Benutzerkomponenten, die Datex-J zur Verfügung stellt und von denen die dargestellten Auskunfts- und Informationssysteme lediglich einen schmalen Ausschnitt der Leistungsfähigkeit dieses Dienstes darstellen. Gezeigt wird, wie die aufliegenden Informationen strukturiert sind, wie man bestimmte Grundfunktionen anwählt oder welche Seitennummern in der Dialogführung besonders wichtig sind. Aus dem äußerst heterogenen und nicht leicht durchschaubaren Angebot illustrieren wir Ihnen dann aus verschiedenen Sachbereichen einige exemplarische und aktuelle Informations-beispiele dieses elektronischen Mediums.     "Interessenten können sich die Online-Variante schon jetzt bei einigen Buchhändlern zur Probe freischalten lassen. Mit ihr ist der Kindler von Verleger Helmut Kindler bereits in den 50er Jahren nach dem Vorbild italienischer und französischer Werklexika konzipiert und 1965 herausgebracht, die zweite Auflage folgte 1988 in einer für Nachschlagewerke schwierigen Gegenwart angekommen: Die kostenlose Konkurrenz im Netz ließ die Lexikonlegende Brockhaus im letzten Jahr aufgeben. Um so erstaunlicher, dass der Online-Kindler genauso viel kosten wird wie der gedruckte: 1950 Euro (ab 1.1.2010: 2400 Euro). Die Kombination beider Ausgaben ist für 2730 Euro (ab 1.1.2010: 3360 Euro), die Online-Aktualisierung für jährlich 99,95 Euro zu haben. Ob der Metzler Verlag sein erhebliches wirtschaftliches Risiko bei diesem Mammutunternehmen ausgerechnet durch eine prohibitive Preisgestaltung für die Online-Variante vermindern kann? Zumindest ein moderater Kombipreis wäre wünschenswert. Die Käufer erhielten damit das, was Thomas Rohde eine "statusdienliche Komponente" nennt (FR v. 30.6.2009). Das Buch sei "als ein überaus materielles Gut in der kollektiven Wahrnehmung verankert", daher müsse man, so Rohde, für eine gewisse Zeit die Preise für immaterielle E-Books mit einer materiellen Dreingabe rechtfertigen.

    Abstract
    Die von Suchmaschinen und Datenbanken angezeigten Suchergebnisse zählen zu den wichtigsten wissenschaftlichen Informationen, die das Internet zu bieten hat. Durch die als Reference Linking bezeichnete Verknüpfung dieser Zitate mitanderen Quellen über OpenURLs kann auch der Zugang zu einem verfügbaren Volltext erreicht werden. Die inzwischen verbreiteten LinkResolver von SFX® u.a. dienen diesem Zweck. Dieser Beitrag zeigt eine einfache Technologie mittels Webformularen, die die Übernahme der Zitate durch Copy und Paste und deren weitere Bearbeitung und Verknüpfung mit OpenURLs erlaubt. Als ein Beispiel dafür wird das im Multisuchsystem E-Connect enthaltene Article-Contents-Linking erläutert, einem mit dem Such- und Bestelldienst ArticleSciences verbundenes Literaturverwaltungs- und Linksystem, dessen Datenbankinhalt durch Copy und Paste aus den Suchergebnissen von ArticleSciences laufend ergänzt werden kann.
