Abstract

Systematische Aufstellung bedeutet den offenen Zugang zum größten Teil der vorhandenen Bestände nach sachlicher, dem Benutzer nachvollziehbarer Ordnung. Die heutige Anwendung systematischer Aufstellung im deutschen Bereich ist die Umkehrung eines historischen Prozesses, der sich auf G. Leyh zurückführen läßt. Die offene Aufstellung der Bestände von zentralen Universitätsbibliotheken, wie sie auch in den Institutsbibliotheken gehandhabt wird, bietet dem Benutzer viele Vorteile. Sie ist abhängig von einer sachlich vertretbaren und bibliothekarisch zweckmäßigen Klassifikation
