Abstract

"Dieses Buch nimmt als Ausgangpunkt einen modernen, sich inrascher Entwicklung befindlichen zweig der Physik, nämlich das Studium der spontanen Entstehung von Strukturen. Es stellt aber diese Entwicklung in einen weit größeren Rahmen, indem es Bezüge zur Bewußtseinsbildung, zur Wahrnehmung und zur Kunst herstellt. Caglioti gelingt es hier in meisterhafter Weise, ganz neue Bezüge aufzustellen, und überrascht uns fast auf jeder Seite mit neuen Perspektiven. Beispiele für derartige Strukturbildungen in Systemen, durch die ständig ein Energiestrom fließt, sind die Lichtquelle Laser oder von unten erhitzte Flüssigkeiten.
