- Abstract
- Der vorliegende Artikel bietet einen Überblick über statistische Verfahren der Textanalyse im Kontext des Semantic Webs. Als Einleitung erfolgt die Diskussion von Methoden und gängigen Techniken zur Vorverarbeitung von Texten wie z. B. Stemming oder Part-of-Speech Tagging. Die so eingeführten Repräsentationsformen dienen als Basis für statistische Merkmalsanalysen sowie für weiterführende Techniken wie Information Extraction und maschinelle Lernverfahren. Die Darstellung dieser speziellen Techniken erfolgt im Überblick, wobei auf die wichtigsten Aspekte in Bezug auf das Semantic Web detailliert eingegangen wird. Die Anwendung der vorgestellten Techniken zur Erstellung und Wartung von Ontologien sowie der Verweis auf weiterführende Literatur bilden den Abschluss dieses Artikels.

- Abstract
- Neuere didaktische Ansätze legen häufig einen Fokus auf die aktive Beteiligung der Lernenden. Zu nennen sind hier z. B. das Learner Centered Teaching, der Flipped Classroom oder Gamification. Es stellt sich die Frage, wie diese Techniken in Informationskompetenz-Kursen von kurzer Dauer oder mit größeren Gruppen eingesetzt werden können und ob dies in Hinblick auf den Lernerfolg sinnvoll ist. Der Artikel beleuchtet Gründe für den Einsatz aktivierender Methoden in Informationskompetenz-Schulungen und stellt verschiedene kostenlose Online-Tools und Gruppenübungen vor, die zur Aktivierung der Lernenden in Schulungen eingesetzt werden können. Die vorgestellten Tools eignen sich für Schulungen in öffentlichen und in wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken.

- Abstract
- In diesem Kapitel wird zuerst der Begriff Semantische Annotation eingeführt und es werden Techniken besprochen um die Annotationen mit dem ursprünglichen Dokument zu verknüpfen. Weiters wird auf Probleme eingegangen, die sich beim Erstellen der Annotationen ergeben. Im Anschluss daran werden Software Tools vorgestellt, die einen Benutzer beim Annotierungsprozess unterstützen. Zum Abschluss werden Methoden diskutiert, die den Annotierungsvorgang in den Entwicklungsprozess einer Web Applikation integrieren.

- Abstract
- Dieser Beitrag beleuchtet die Geschichte der Zukunftsforschung in der Bundesrepublik und in den westlichen Industriegesellschaften vom 19. Jahrhundert bis in die Gegenwart. Er charakterisiert die Vorläufer der modernen Zukunftsforschung am Beginn der europäischen "Hochmoderne" um 1900, stellt aber die Formierungs- und Transformationsphase der 1950er- bis frühen 1980er-Jahre in den Mittelpunkt. Zentrale Faktoren für die Konzeptionierung einer Meta-Disziplin Zukunftsforschung waren der Systemwettlauf des Kalten Krieges, welcher der Entwicklung von Methoden der Vorausschau und Planung Dynamik verlieh, und ein teilweise frappantes wissenschaftliches Vertrauen in diese neuen methodisch-theoretischen Zugänge und Techniken der Vorausschau - insbesondere die Kybernetik -, welche die Zukunft prognostizierbar und damit plan- und steuerbar zu machen schienen. Den Kontext bildeten eine gesellschaftliche Aufbruchstimmung und eine hohe politische Technik- und Planungsaffinität der 1960er-Jahre, welche das Verständnis der Zukunftsforschung bestärkten, dass der Mensch aus der Fülle der möglichen Zukünfte wählen und so die Zukunft geradezu frei gestalten könne. Dieses überzogene Machbarkeitsdenken betraf insbesondere die bundesdeutsche Zukunftsforschung. In den 1970er-Jahren wurden allerdings die Grenzen dieses Anspruchs deutlich. In der Folge pragmatisierte sich die Zukunftsforschung in methodischer Hinsicht. Nicht zuletzt trug dieser übersteigerte Machbarkeitsglaube der 1960er-Jahre dazu bei, dass die Zukunftsforschung in der Bundesrepublik lange wenig institutionalisiert war.

- Abstract
- In der qualitativen Sozialforschung werden seit mehr als einem Jahrzehnt Techniken des Information-Retrieval eingesetzt. Mittlerweile ist für dieses Feld leistungsfähige Spezialsoftware (AQUAD, atlas-ti, NUDIST, WINMAX) entwickelt worden. Die Analysemethoden bauen auf der Basistechnik der Segmentierung und Codierung von Texten auf. Verschiedene erweiternde Auswertungstechniken - u.a. quantitative Variablen, Memo-Management, Gewichtungsvariable für codierte Segmente - sind in den letzten Jahren konzipiert und in den EDV-Programmen implementiert worden

- Abstract
- Dieses Papier diskutiert die allgemeinen Entwicklungen auf dem Gebiet der Wissenskommunikation. Bereits die Betrachtung der informations- und wissensorganisatorischen Techniken lassen einige Folgerungen für den künftig zu erwartenden Wissensaustausch und seine Formalisierung ziehen. Auch wurden künftige Aspekte der Wissensorganisation und -kommunikation im Rahmen von Panels bei der Deutschen ISKO-Konferenz 2006 in Wien und in 2007 auf der IKONE-Konferenz in Bangalore sowie bei der WissKom 2007 in Jülich diskutiert. Hieraus und aus Betrachtungen zu den neuen medialen Techniken werden Folgerungen für zu erwartende und zu empfehlende künftige Entwicklungen gezogen.

- Forschungsinfrastrukturen werden in Zukunft für die Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften eine ähnliche Bedeutung einnahmen, wie dies bereits in den Naturwissenschaften der Fall ist.
