    Abstract
Chinese MARC (CMARC) adopts the UNIMARC approach rather than the USMARC tradition. The 4th edition of CMARC was published in 1997 and completely abandons the Linking Entry Block feature in favour of USMARC features. Concludes that CMARC has lost its compatibility with UNIMARC and this may cause chaos in the near future
