    Wie hat uns dagegen die Konkurrenz in die Irre geschickt: Statt Wetter in Merching bekamen wir die Seite der freiwilligen Feuerwehr (Ask.com), statt einer Zugverbindung das Angebot, einen Flug zu buchen (Seekport), statt Firmware Spam, statt Umrechnungskursen Börsennachrichten. Ein wenig schwächelte Google bei zwei Begriffen: "Aktienkurs Telekom" und "Strompreis Übersicht". Hier zeigte Yahoo bessere Ergebnisse - beispielsweise gleich oberhalb der Trefferliste einen Kurs-Chart für die T-Aktie. Für eine wichtige Frage blieben uns alle Suchmaschinen die Antwort schuldig: "Wie heißt der Soldat bei Biene Maja?" Auch bei der Bildersuche überzeugte Google auf der ganzen Linie - zu jedem unserer fünf Begriffe fanden wir genügend gute Treffer. Alle anderen leisteten sich dagegen Ausrutscher: So findet Ask Apples "iPhone" und das CD-Cover des Wir-sind-Helden-Albums "Soundso" nicht. Abacho, Yahoo und Live Search können mit Gilbert & Georges Kunstwerk "Are You Angry Or Are You Boring" nichts anfangen. Bei Seekport konnten wir uns die Mühe sparen - es gibt keine Bildersuche. Videos werden von Seekport ebenfalls ignoriert. Auch bei Abacho fehlt diese Spezialsuche, allerdings hilft die ordinäre Websuche bisweilen: Die Anfrage "Stromberg Herr Loermann" führte uns beispielsweise zum Videoportal Maxdome mit Trailern und dem Stream der Comedy-Serie. Ask, Live Search und Google unterscheiden sich in der Videosuche nur marginal. Bei Google werden Treffer aus dem eigenen Videoportal YouTube offenbar bevorzugt behandelt, dafür gibt es leichten Punktabzug. Ansonsten schwankt die Qualität der Ergebnisse je nach Suchbegriff. Mit "White Stripes Icky Thump" fanden wir bei dem Trio zuverlässig zum neuen Video der amerikanischen Rockband. Auch der "Apple 1984 Superbowl" Werbespot war für die drei kein Problem, lediglich bei der Stromberg-Episode blieben die Ergebnislisten nahezu leer.
