Abstract

In diesem Beitrag geht es um ein Fachgebiet: die Philosophie. Es soll ein Überblick über dieses Thema gewonnen und erkennbar werden, warum diese Wissenschaft so geschätzt wird und in nahezu allen Hochschulen und Universitäten durch planmäßige Stellen vertreten ist. Die Philosophie hat eine über 2000 Jahre lange Geschichte. Die Ursprünge sind mit den Namen Sokrates, Plato und Aristoteles verbunden. Die Lehren dieser Denker wurden über Jahrhunderte weitergegeben und reflektiert. Die Philosophie hat sich vor allem in der Zeit der Aufklärung stärker entfaltet. Sie ist dann später durch Rudolf Carnap und andere Denker einer strengen Methodik unterworfen worden.. Arbeiten mit spekulativem Vorgehen werden zunehmend weniger beachtet. Charakteristisch für die gegenwärtige Philosophie ist, dass systematischer vorgegangen wird. So werden zum Beispiel Thesen aufgestellt und zur Diskussion gestellt.
