Abstract: Die DNB-CD retro 2 enthält alle in Deutschland erschienenen Publikationen der Bibliographienjahrgänge 1972 bis 1985 (ca. 1,2 Millionen Datensätze). Es handelt sich um Monographien, Zeitschriften, Karten und Hochschulschriften, die als Beleg- oder Pflichtexemplare bei der Deutschen Bibliothek Frankfurt am Main eingegangen sind. Nicht enthalten sind Germanica und Übersetzungen deutschsprachiger Werke. Als Suchkategorien stehen u.a. Autor, Stichwort, Titel oder Reihe zur Verfügung, die miteinander verknüpft werden können. Die sachliche Recherche ist über die Sachgruppen der DNB möglich. Eine Konkordanz der verschiedenen Sachgruppen ist direkt in den Online-Hilfetexte enthalten

Abstract: Am Beispiel der Zentralbibliothek der Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH wird der Paradigmenwechsel bibliographischer Alltagsroutine zwischen 1978 und 1998 vorgestellt. Vor dem Hintergrund der veränderten Informationstechnologie der letzten 20 Jahre werden einerseits die eingesetzten Nachweisinstrumente und deren Evolution beschrieben, andererseits die Veränderungen der konkreten Arbeitsprozesse beim Bibliographieren illustriert. Dabei wird ein Spektrum abgedeckt, das von gedruckten Bibliographien und Referateblättern über Mikrofiche und Magnetbänder, Online- und CD-ROM-Datenbanken bis zum "WeltWideWeb" reicht. Wir zeigen, daß der bibliographische Arbeitsprozeß neu definiert werden muß, in seiner Grundfunktion aber nicht obsolet geworden ist

Abstract

CD-ROMs werde zum alltäglichen Speichermedium für Nachschlagewerke, Programmsammlungen und Multimediaprodukte. Datenbanken, die bisher nur Spezialisten zur Verfügung standen, können jetzt leicht in großer Auflage als CD-ROMs verbreitet werden. Eine sehr interessante Sammlung ist die CD-ROM der Fa. ekz mit dem Volltext von mehr als 100.000 Kurzrezensionen deutschsprachigen Belletristik, Sach- und Fachbüchern, dazu Videos, Audio-CDs, Spiele, Landkarten usw. Im folgenden werden Benutzung und Nutzen dieser CD-ROM genauer betrachtet und ihr Wert als umfangreiches Nachschlagewerk für jedermann diskutiert
