Abstract: This paper aims at illustrating the methodology of constructing the Arabic authority headings. Accordingly, the main focus is on the system of linking name headings in Arabic-Roman scripts and subject headings in the three languages Arabic, English and French. The Bibliotheca Alexandrina's biscript / trilingual authority file project »bibalex« can be considered the first step toward establishing cooperative projects with union catalogs and authority files.
