    Abstract
    Die Hirnforschung, an der Naturwissenschaftler ebenso beteiligt sind wie Psychologen und Philosophen, ist eines der faszinierendsten und meistdiskutierten Untersuchungsgebiete. Eine wichtige Frage, auf die sich das Augenmerk der Wissenschaftler richtet, ist: Wie werden kognitive Leistungen durch neuronale Prozesse realisiert? Obwohl die Kognitionswissenschaftler immer mehr über Leistungen wie Wahrnehmung, Denken und Lernen erfahren, und die Neurobiologen immer besser die Vorgänge im Gehirn verstehen, ist der Zusammenhang von Kognition und Gehirn noch weitgehend unverstanden.
