    Abstract
    Das Thema Literaturverwaltung hat in den letzten Jahren in der Softwareentwicklung, aber auch bei den wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken einen enormen Aufschwung erfahren: kostenlose Softwarelizenzen sowie Schulungs- und Supportangebote gehören mittlerweile vielerorts zum Dienstleistungsspektrum der Bibliotheken. Die Verbreitung dieser bibliothekarischen Serviceangebote genauer zu benennen und zugleich in der Praxis bewährte Dienstleistungen zu identifizieren, war Ziel einer im Februar 2010 durchgeführten Online-Umfrage, deren Ergebnisse hier vorgestellt werden.

Die Daten konnten aus verschiedenen Quellen zusammengeführt werden und stehen dem Benutzer als lokale Datenbank zur Verfügung. FREITEXT hat sich als preiswertes, komfortables und zuverlässiges Retrievalsystem erwiesen

    Abstract
    Die Entstehung von Alephino In den neunziger Jahren war viel von BIS-LOK die Rede. Dieses Bibliothekssystem, das in vielen kleineren und mittleren Bibliotheken eingesetzt wurde, zum Teil über einen Zeitraum von bis zu 15 Jahren, wird etwa seit dem Jahrtausend-Wechsel nicht mehr weiter entwickelt. Aber es hat einen Nachfolger gefunden, der eindeutig sein Erbgut in sich trägt: Alephino, das Bibliothekssystem von Ex Libris, das auf der BIS-LOK-Datenbank und -Funktionalität basiert, dessen Oberfläche aber parallel zu der von Aleph 500 entwickelt wird. Auf dem BIS-LOK-Anwendertreffen in Kassel im Jahr 2000 stellte Firma Ex Libris bereits die Planungen für Alephino vorgestellt. Im November 2001 fand dann die erste Tagung, in der es im Wesentlichen um Alephino ging, statt? In diesem Jahr hatte ein Alephino-Betatest stattgefunden, drei Bibliotheken hatten bereits einen Vertrag für die neue Software abgeschlossen und im Institut für Meereskunde in Kiel gab es die erste lauffähige Installation, die kurz nach der Tagung in den Echtbetrieb ging. Bis Februar 2004 hatte sich die Lage grundlegend verändert: es existierten 75 rechtskräftige Verträge für Alephino, auch einige in Mittel- und Südamerika. Die meisten dieser Bibliotheken haben Alephino im Laufe des Jahres 2003 eingeführt. Einige arbeiten allerdings auch noch mit BIS-LOK und haben den Umstieg aus unterschiedlichen Gründen noch vor sich. Es gibt AlephinoAnwender/innen, die von Allegro herkommen, der Hauptteil hat allerdings vorher BIS-LOK eingesetzt - nicht weiter erstaunlich, da diese Bibliotheken damit beim selben Hersteller geblieben sind. Hauptgründe für den Wechsel waren finanziell günstige Umstiegskonditionen, eine unproblematische Datenübernahme und die Tatsache, dass man bei der bekannten Firma blieb. Es kann allerdings nicht verschwiegen werden, dass sich auch viele BIS-LOK-Anwender/innen anders entschieden haben: Bibliotheca 2000 von B.O.N.D. und BIS-C von Dabis (Österreich) dürften die Hauptkonkurrenten sein; ein Kreis von Max-Planck-Bibliotheken ist zu Aleph gewechselt und damit auch im eigenen Hause geblieben. Vereinzelt gibt es noch anderen Lösungen.

    Abstract
    Mit der zunehmenden Verfügbarkeit bibliografischer Daten wird auch die Verwendung von Literaturverwaltungsprogrammen immer interessanter. Viele Bibliotheken bieten in ihren Katalogen mittlerweile entsprechende Schnittstellen an, die einen direkten Import der Bestandsdaten der Bibliothek in die Literaturverwaltung des Nutzers ermöglichen. Dabei muss jedoch streng differenziert werden zwischen solchen Programmen zum Aufbau individueller Literatursammlungen und solchen, zum Aufbau und zur Pflege institutionell betriebener Datenbanken. Im Beitrag werden die Leistungsmerkmale einer idealtypischen Literaturverwaltung im Sinne eines Produktivitätswerkzeuges beschrieben und anschließend von den Merkmalen professioneller bibliografischer Software abgegrenzt.

    Abstract
    Der Bereich der Literaturverwaltung ist in den letzten Jahren stark in Bewegung geraten. Wurde der Markt über lange Jahre durch Anwendungen wie Endnote und Reference Manager dominiert, sind nun in kurzer Zeit neben diese etablierten Produkte zahlreiche neue Softwares und Tools getreten. So gibt es seit 2002 mit RefWorks ein Literaturverwaltungsprogramm, das vollkommen webbasiert arbeitet; im Bereich der Social Software sind Anwendungen wie BibSonomy, CiteULike und Connotea entstanden; und das vielbeachtete Tool Zotero4 beschreitet gänzlich neue Wege, indem es sich als Add-On direkt in den Browser integriert. Ein umfangreicher Vergleich wichtiger aktueller Literaturverwaltungsprogramme bzw. -dienste, der im Rahmen eines DFG-Projekts an der UB Augsburg entstanden ist, hat dabei gezeigt, dass die verglichenen kommerziellen Programme (Citavi, Endnote mit Endnote Web, RefWorks) mittlerweile kaum mehr Unterschiede beim Leistungsumfang aufweisen. Der zentrale Unterschied liegt vielmehr in der zugrundeliegenden Arbeitsphilosophie: während Anwendungen wie Citavi und Endnote als Einzelplatzlösungen konzipiert sind und eher auf einen individuellen Datenpool abzielen, arbeiten Endnote Web und RefWorks webbasiert und können dadurch auch eine Reihe zusätzlicher Kooperationsfunktionalitäten bereitstellen. Ebenfalls webbasiert arbeiten Dienste wie BibSonomy und Connotea, die in den letzten Jahren neben diese kommerziellen Produkte getreten sind und das Prinzip der Social Software auf den Bereich der Literaturverwaltung übertragen. Auf diese Entwicklung haben bereits erste Bibliotheken reagiert und diese Dienste in ihre Angebote eingebunden. So kann beispielsweise im Kölner Universitäts-Gesamtkatalog aus der Trefferanzeige heraus über einen entsprechenden Button ein Treffer direkt an BibSonomy gesendet werden; die Metadaten der im Dokumentenserver der LMU München gespeicherten Dokumente werden automatisch in Connotea eingespeist. Diese Beispiele machen deutlich, dass wir es derzeit mit einer sehr dynamischen Entwicklung zu tun haben, die zugleich offenbar zu einem qualitativen Sprung im Bereich der Literaturverwaltungsprogramme bzw. -dienste geführt hat. Um diesen qualitativen Sprung etwas genauer zu beschreiben, möchten wir im Folgenden eine Typologie vorstellen mit dem Ziel, die einzelnen Entwicklungstendenzen besser sichtbar zu machen. Im Anschluss möchten wir auf die Frage eingehen, welche konkreten neuen Anwendungsszenarien des wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens sich aus diesen Entwicklungen ableiten lassen. Wir unterscheiden in diesem Sinne drei Arten von Literaturverwaltungsprogrammen: 1. die "traditionelle" Literaturverwaltung, die wesentlich auf einen einzelnen Nutzer und seine Daten bezogen ist ("geschlossenes System") 2. die webbasierte Literaturverwaltung I, die Online-Accounts bereitstellt mit der Möglichkeit von begrenzten Freigaben für andere Nutzer ("halboffenes System") 3. die webbasierte Literaturverwaltung II, die - ganz im Sinne der Social Software - auf einen gemeinsamen Datenpool abzielt ("offenes System").

    Abstract
    Dieser Fachbeitrag behandelt die Nachweise paralleler Druck- und Online-Ausgaben in Bibliothekskatalogen und Dokumenten-Suchmaschinen. Der Nachweis hybrider Publikationen, d. h. von parallel als Druck- und als Online-Ausgabe erschienenen Veröffentlichungen in Bibliothekskatalogen und Datenbanken ist von großer Diversität gekennzeichnet. Auch der direkte Zugang über die Kataloge zum im Netz frei verfügbaren elektronischen Gegenstück einer Printpublikation ist nicht selbstverständlich. Am Beispiel ausgewählter hybrider Publikationen wird gezeigt, wie Bibliotheken, Verbünde und Suchmaschinen in Deutschland und weltweit damit umgehen. In einer weitreichenden Analyse haben die Autorinnen die unterschiedlichen Handhabungen analysiert und kritisch bewertet. Die Arbeit gibt einerseits die Ergebnisse der Recherche wieder und richtet andererseits das Augenmerk auf die Notwendigkeit einheitlicher Katalogisierungsrichtlinien für hybride Publikationen.

    Abstract
    Will man sich auf dem weiten Feld der Datenverarbeitung die Entwicklungsstadien der letzten drei Jahrzehnte vergegenwärtigen, ist es hilfreich, mindestens vier Aspekte in den Blick zu nehmen: - Hardware: Industrie, Systeme - Software: Programmierung, Sprachen, Entwicklungssysteme - Software: Konkrete Anwendungsfelder, z.B. Bibliothekswesen - Bestimmte Anwendungssysteme, z.B. allegro-C Am Beispiel des an der UB Braunschweig entstandenen Systems allegro-C, dessen Entwicklung 1980 begann und bis heute andauert, lassen sich die Trends, die Evo- und Revolutionen der 30 Jahre nachverfolgen, und dies wird hier versucht. Die Stationen und Etappen der allegro-Geschichte sind knapp aufgelistet in einer Chronik, die ihrerseits im Kern eine spezialisierte allegro-Datenbank ist. Für die Anfangszeit bis Ende 1994 existiert eine ausführliche Darstellung der Entwicklung von Torsten Ahlers.

    Abstract
    Biblio-Express 2 ist eine speziell für kleinere und mittlere Bibliotheken entwickelte Datenbank, deren Eingabe- und Verschlagwortungsfunktionen den »Regeln für die alphabetische Katalogisierung in wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken« (RAKWB) entsprechen. Einfache Bedienbarkeit und umfangreiche Funktionsausstattung standen im Mittelpunkt der Programmentwicklung. Biblio-Express verfügt beispielsweise über eine automatische Schlagwortverkettung sowie eine integrierte Zugangs- und Ausleihübersicht. Zur Titelaufnahme stehen drei verschiedene Eingabeformu-lare zur Verfügung: Monografien/Stücktitel, Gesamtaufnahme mehrbändiger Werke und Zeitschriften. In jedem dieser Formulare befinden sich Schaltflächen zur Verschlagwortung, Bildung von Nebeneinträgen, Eingabe von Aufsätzen, Übernahme des Werkes ins Zugangsbuch und EintragungeinesAusleihvermerkes. Biblio-Express 2 verwendet nach RAK-WB fünfSchlagwortkategorien: Personenschlagwort, Sachschlagwort, geografisches Schlagwort, Zeitschlagwort Lind Formschlagwort. Zu jedem Werk kann man beliebig viele Schlagworteeingeben. DieSchlagworte werden mit einer automatischen Verkettungsfunktion zu Permutationsketten verknüpft, wodurch sich die Verschlagwortung außerordentlich vereinfacht. Biblio-Express 2 verfügt über besondere Formulare zur Eingabe von Nebeneinträgen, Verweisungen, Standorten (Magazin, Lesesaal usw.), (Vor-)Besitzern undzurVerwaltungdes Beschaffungsetats. Biblio-Express 2 führt ein Zugangsbuch (Akzessionsliste), in das Sie die angeschafften Werke mit entsprechenden Zugangsvermerken eintragen. Die Akzessionsnummer wird pro Jahr und Bestand automatisch vergeben. Zur Eingabe von Suchbedingungen bei Recherchen sind alle Eingabefelder der Titelaufnahme und Verschlagwortung verwendbar und durch »und«, »oder«, »und nicht«, »oder nicht« miteinander zu verknüpfen. Auf diese Weise werden komplexe Rechercheanfragen erstellt, ohne über besondere Programmierkenntnisse verfügen zu müssen. Das Rechercheergebnis wird als »Lookup-Liste« präsentiert und kann ausgedruckt werden. Die Lookup-Liste ist eine tabellarische Übersicht aller Daten der Eingabeformulare. Die angezeigten Spalten sind frei wählund sortierbar. Bei Eingabe eines Textes zeigt die Lookup-Liste sofort denjenigen Datensatz an, dessen Feldinhalt mit dem eingegebenen Text übereinstimmt. Auf diese Weise lassen sich Daten außerordentlich schnell lokalisieren. Darüber hinaus ist die Lookup-Liste zur Erstellung beliebiger Konkordanzen (Feldgegenüberstellungen) ausdruckbar. Biblio-Express 2 bietet den Ausdruck der verzeichneten Werke in Form einer Bibliografie oder auf Karteikarten für den alphabetischen Katalog, den Reihen- und den Schlagwortkatalog an. Den Umfang der auszudruckenden Karteikarten legen Sie entweder über Suchbedingungen oder manuell (titelweise) fest. Das Format der Karteikarten ist frei definierbar, beispielsweise als 4-Titelkarten, Endloskartei oder Kartei im internationalen Bibliotheksformat.

Ist eine Quelle erfasst, kann man den Eintrag jederzeit finden: Bibliographix sucht nach Autor, Titel oder Stichwort oder per Volltextsuche.

    "Während der Anwender ein Manuskript bearbeitet, fügt er Zitate direkt in den Text ein. Bibliographix arbeitet dabei eng mit Word zusammen. Wer eine andere Textverarbeitung verwendet, muss zum Einfügen den Umweg über die Zwischenablage wählen. Im Text erscheinen zunächst temporäre Zitate. In der fertigen Fassung wandelt Bibliographix die Platzhalter in die endgültige Form um und erstellt einen Anhang aller zitierten Werke. Bibliographix bietet jetzt einen direkten Zugang zur Deutschen Bibliothek, zum Hessischen Verbundkatalog, dem Gemeinsamen Verbundkatalog norddeutscher Bibliotheken sowie dem schweizerischen Helveticat. Auch Anfragen in den USA (Medline sowie Library of Congress) sind möglich. Quellenangaben aus dem Bibliothekskatalog wandern per Mausklick in die eigene Datenbank. Dank sinnvoller Ergänzungen ist das Programm komfortabler geworden, aber nach wie vor intuitiv zu bedienen. Die Basisversion ist zwar auf zehn Bibliothekszugriffe beschränkt, für kleinere Arbeiten reicht diese kostenlose Variante aber aus."

    Abstract
    Ergebnisse einer Umfrage über die Anwendung des Datenbankprogramms CDS/ISIS in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Von 130 angeschriebenem deutschen ISIS-Lizenznehmern haben 42 geantwortet, die das Programm nicht anwenden und 20, die es anwenden.
