- Abstract
- Es mag etwas egomanisch anmuten, wenn ich beschreibe, wie ich mir nicht nur das wissenschaftliche Publizieren der Zukunft vorstelle, sondern auch weitergehende Überlegungen zu Open Access und Open Science skizziere, die über das eigentliche Anliegen des vorliegenden Sammelbandes (Taubert/Weingart 2016) hinausgehen. An dieser Stelle sollte man umfangreiche Datenanalysen zum Publikationsverhalten und daraus abgeleitete Prognosen erwarten. Aber dies geschieht bereits in anderen Beiträgen zu diesem Sammelband in ausführlicher Weise, und so nehme ich mir die Freiheit zu einer ganz subjektiven Meinungsäußerung, die auf langjähriger Beschäftigung mit dem Thema basiert. Ich werde Grundzüge aufzeigen und prinzipielle Überlegungen anstellen, nicht aber auf die genaue Rolle der Beteiligten, die konkrete Ausgestaltung der zugehörigen Informationstechnik oder auf Details der rechtlichen Rahmenwerke eingehen.

- Das Committee on Electronic Information and Communication (CEIC) der International Mathematical Union (IMU) hat die Aufgabe, sich über die langfristige Informationsversorgung in der Mathematik Gedanken zu machen und Lösungsvorschläge hierfür zu erarbeiten. Das Kernthema ist natürlich "Elektronisches Publizieren". Dazu gehören auch Copyright-Regelungen. Mit diesem Artikel beginnt eine kleine Serie von Aufsätzen, in denen ich (in meiner Funktion als eines von elf CEIC-Mitgliedern) die Empfehlungen des CEIC erläutern werde

- Abstract
- Der Kooperative Bibliotheksverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (KOBV) wurde in den Jahren 1997-2000 im Rahmen eines wissenschaftlichen Projektes eingerichtet. Er stellt eine neuartige Form von Bibliotheksverbund dar. Sein technisches Konzept und sein organisatorischer Aufbau basieren auf der "Internetphilosophie". Den informationstechnischen Kern bildet eine Suchmaschine, die die heterogenen lokalen Bibliothekssysteme miteinander verbindet. Die KOBV-Organisation ist dezentral. Sie wird getragen von der Kooperation der Bibliotheken in Berlin und Brandenburg; diese werden von einer kleinen Verbundzentrale unterstützt. - Abstract
- Der Wissenschaftsrat hat in seiner Juli-Sitzung 2001 "Empfehlungen zur digitalen Informationsversorgung durch Hochschulbibliotheken" verabschiedet. Der Wissenschaftsrat folgt dabei seiner Tradition, hochschulpolitische Themen aufzugreifen, die dringenden Handlungsbedarf aufweisen, aber bei den beteiligten Institutionen nicht genügend Beachtung finden. Nach meiner Einschätzung macht der Wissenschaftsrat hier Vorschläge, die zu einer nachhaltigen Veränderung der wissenschaftlichen Informationslandschaft führen können. In meinem kurzen Kommentar zu diesem Papier möchte ich auf einige dieser Anregungen hinweisen
