    Abstract
    Eine der wesentlichen Aufgaben als Fachreferent*in ist die inhaltliche Erschließung der neuerworbenen Literatur, sowie die Begutachtung und Auswahl der neu erschienenen Werke in den jeweiligen Fachgebieten hinsichtlich der Relevanz für die eigenen Sammlungen gemäß dem Sammlungsprofil der TU Wien Bibliothek. Im Zuge der Corona-Krise wurde die herkömmliche Arbeitsweise in der Sacherschließung beeinträchtigt, und es haben sich neue Herausforderungen, aber auch Möglichkeiten ergeben. Neben der fehlenden Autopsie der Literatur leidet auch die Sichtung und Erwerbung neuer Literatur unter der physischen Abwesenheit vom Arbeitsplatz bzw. der entsprechenden technischen Infrastruktur. Auch der persönliche Austausch mit den Kolleg*innen wurde deutlich erschwert. Neben den Schwierigkeiten wurden aber auch die neuen Handlungsoptionen auf beruflicher und individueller Ebene positiv gesehen. In dem Artikel werden unsere individuellen Erfahrungen an der TU Wien Bibliothek sowie Ausblicke in die Zukunft wiedergegeben.

    Abstract
    Diskussionen um Datennetze und Informationstechnik drehen sich häufig um kompetentes Handeln. In der Publikation werden Voraussetzungen eines autonomen informationellen Handelns gezeigt: Abstrahieren, Analogien bilden, Plausibilitäten beachten, Schlussfolgern und kreativ sein. Informationelle Kompetenz ist gelebte Informationelle Autonomie. Es lassen sich Konsequenzen für ein zukünftiges Menschenbild in informationstechnischen Umgebungen ziehen.

    Abstract
    Werden Maschinen mit Begriffen beschrieben, die ursprünglich der Beschreibung des Menschen dienen, so liegt zunächst der Verdacht nahe, dass jene Maschinen spezifischmenschliche Fähigkeiten oder Eigenschaften besitzen. Für körperliche Fähigkeiten, die mechanisch nachgeahmt werden, hat sich in der Alltagssprache eine anthropomorphisierende Sprechweise bereits etabliert. So wird kaum in Frage gestellt, dass bestimmte Maschinen weben, backen, sich bewegen oder arbeiten können. Bei nichtkörperlichen Eigenschaften, etwa kognitiver, sozialer oder moralischer Art sieht dies jedoch anders aus. Dass mittlerweile intelligente und rechnende Maschinen im alltäglichen Sprachgebrauch Eingang gefunden haben, wäre jedoch undenkbar ohne den langjährigen Diskurs über Künstliche Intelligenz, welcher insbesondere die zweite Hälfte des vergangenen Jahrhunderts geprägt hat. In jüngster Zeit ist es der Autonomiebegriff, welcher zunehmend Verwendung zur Beschreibung neuer Technologien findet, wie etwa "autonome mobile Roboter" oder "autonome Systeme". Dem Begriff nach rekurriert die "Autonomie" jener Technologien auf eine bestimmte Art technologischen Fortschritts, die von der Fähigkeit zur Selbstgesetzgebung herrührt. Dies wirft aus philosophischer Sicht jedoch die Frage auf, wie die Selbstgesetzgebung in diesem Fall definiert ist, zumal sich der Autonomiebegriff in der Philosophie auf die politische oder moralische Selbstgesetzgebung von Menschen oder Menschengruppen beziehungsweise ihre Handlungen bezieht. Im Handbuch Robotik hingegen führt der Autor geradezu beiläufig die Bezeichnung "autonom" ein, indem er prognostiziert, dass "[.] autonome Roboter in Zukunft sogar einen Großteil der Altenbetreuung übernehmen werden."

    Abstract
    Was ist eigentlich die Seele und wie hängt sie mit dem Gehirn zusammen? Seit dem Altertum wird das Gehirn als Organ der Seele angesehen. Wo und wie aber das Psychische im Gehirn entsteht, wie sich dabei unsere Gefühlswelt, unsere Persönlichkeit und unser Ich formen, kann mit Hilfe der modernen Verfahren der Hirnforschung erst seit kurzem erforscht werden und wird in diesem Buch dargestellt.
    Die vergleichsweise junge Neurobiologie verstehen der "Altmeister" Gerhard Roth und seine junge Kollegin Nicole Strüber als ergänzende Wissenschaft zu Psychologie und Psychotherapie. Sie bekennen sich uneingeschränkt zur naturwissenschaftlichen Sichtweise: "Alles, was wir erleben, hat seinen Ort im Gehirn". Ihr Anspruch, dass es außerhalb der naturalistischen Betrachtungsweise keine anderen Erklärungsmodelle geben kann, wird seit vielen Jahren kontrovers diskutiert. Gerhard Roth weist selber auf eine Erklärungslücke hin: Es ist völlig unklar, wie Bewusstsein entsteht, auch wenn die biologischen Vorgänge im Gehirn bekannt sind. Dennoch ist er sich sicher, dass "aus neurobiologischer Sicht die Suche nach dem Sitz der Seele erfolgreich beendet wurde.",Auf den ersten 200 Seiten werden detailliert die Anatomie und Physiologie des Nervensystems erklärt. Psychologische Begriffe werden auf ihre neurobiologische Grundlage hin untersucht. Aufmerksamkeit, Gedächtnis und Persönlichkeit haben ihre typischen Lokalisationen im Gehirn. Einige Grundannahmen der Psychotherapien werden bestätigt, etwa die große Bedeutung der vorgeburtlichen und frühkindlichen Erfahrungen, die Bindungserfahrungen und die genetischen Dispositionen. Manche Therapiekonstrukte werden widerlegt, wie Freuds Traumtheorie oder die kognitive Umstrukturierung. Möglicherweise kann die Neurobiologie in Zukunft noch viel mehr zur Diagnostik und Therapie beitragen, meint Roth. Für Laien gibt es kaum ein vergleichbar umfangreiches Sachbuch, das dermaßen gut verständlich, klar und nüchtern die moderne Hirnforschung beschreibt.

    "Seit 2009 wird die Systematik für Bibliotheken (SfB) in jährlichen Updates unter www.sfb-online.de veröffentlicht. Für das Update 2013 wurde die Fachsystematik »Medizin« überarbeitet und neu strukturiert. Viele für Öffentliche Bibliotheken nicht mehr relevante Stellen wurden gestrichen, wie zum Beispiel die Raumfahrtmedizin, andere, wie zum Beispiel die für Ambulante Hilfs- und Pflegedienste, ergänzt. Die Zusatzvereinbarung für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur wurden um die Bereiche Fantasy und Krimi erweitert. Die gesamte aktualisierte SfB sowie Ansprechpartner für Fragen, Anregungen und Kritik sind unter www.sfb-online.de zu finden. Die SfB wird in Kooperation von der Büchereizentrale Schleswig Holstein, der Stadtbibliothek Bremen, der Stadtbücherei Frankfurt am Main und der Stadtbibliothek Hannover gepflegt.     "Wenn in der Debatte um Willensfreiheit, Recht und Verantwortung die Hirnforschung ins Spiel kommt, taucht immer wieder der Vorwurf des Kategorienfehlers auf - so auch beim früheren Richter und Vizepräsidenten des Bundesverfassungsgerichts Winfried Hassemer ("Haltet den geborenen Dieb!", FAZ vom 15. 6. 2010), was ebenso prompt den nächststehenden "Hirnforscher" zurückschlagen lässt ("Haltet den Richter!", Gerhard Roth, Grischa Merkel, FR 26./27. Juni 2010). Roth weist entrüstet - die juristische Kompetenz mag bei der Koautorin Merkel gut aufgehoben sein - den Vorwurf des Kategorienfehlers mit dem Trick zurück, auch Philosophen zu den Hirnforschern zu rechnen, die sich nun einmal mit der Legitimation des strafrechtlichen Schuldprinzips befassen, also dort kategorial zuhause seien. Worin besteht ein Kategorienfehler? Warum soll er ein Argument gegen die Ansprüche von Hirnforschern liefern, Willensfreiheit als Illusion zu entlarven oder Selbstbewusstsein durch neuronale Prozesse zu erklären? Aristoteles hatte den rechtlichen Begriff der Anklage (kategorema) auf Sätze übertragen, um die Unterscheidung sinnloser von sinnvollen Aussagen zu begründen. Seither wird von Philosophen der Begriff der Kategorie auf die Einteilung des Wirklichen durch Sprechen und Denken angewandt. Wie aber lässt sich der Kategorienfehler so verstehen, dass sich der Hirnforscher vor ihm hüten muss, will er nicht seine Ergebnisse preisgeben? Das ist, gegenüber den komplexen Grundsatzfragen der Philosophiegeschichte, ein übersichtlicher Zusammenhang: Jedenfalls wird da geredet, von Juristen, Philosophen und Neurowissenschaftlern. Kategorienfehler werden Sprechfehler.
    Rede kann "semantisch" fehlerhaft sein, das heißt, einen Bedeutungsfehler haben: "6 ist eine Primzahl" ist nicht sinnlos, aber falsch. "6 ist geduldig" ist nicht falsch, aber sinnlos. "Geduldig" wird nämlich sinnvoll nur für Menschen gebraucht. "Papier ist geduldig" ist eine davon genommene Übertragung (Metapher), und jeder versteht, was damit gemeint ist. Ein anderer Kategorienfehler betrifft die grammatische Zusammensetzung eines Satzes. "Angela kariert merklich" ist nicht falsch, sondern sinnlos, weil "kariert" zwar wie ein Verbum klingt, aber ein Adjektiv ist, etwa für Hemden, und sicher kein Verbum, auf das man "merklich" beziehen kann. Die Werbesprache ("So geht Bank heute") oder der journalistische Gag ("Brüderle kann Opel") machen sich, durchaus verständlich, diese Art von grammatischer Übertragung zunutze. Aber die Kategorienfehler der Hirnforschung sind anderer Art, nicht so leicht mit ein wenig Sprachgefühl zu diagnostizieren. Sie haben mit den "kategorialen" Unterschieden von Materie und Geist, von Neuronen und Gedanken, von Natur und Kultur, von Beschreiben und Vorschreiben zu tun. Hinter ihnen verbergen sich, oder vor sie stellen sich konträre Menschen- und Weltbilder, unversöhnliche, weil unausgesprochene und für ihre Inhaber meistens unaussprechbare, weil undurchschaute Grundüberzeugungen. Wie ist diesen beizukommen? Hier sei es methodisch versucht, also Schritt für Schritt in der richtigen Reihenfolge. Beginnen wir beim Anspruch der Hirnforschung und umfassender der Evolutionsbiologie, das Erkennen als Hirnleistung zu erklären. Das Gegenargument, dass wir mit demselben Hirn im selben Sinne irren, in dem wir mit ihm erkennen, hat bisher bei Hirnforschern so wenig verfangen wie bei Evolutionsbiologen, die unsere Erkenntnisfähigkeit aus Anpassung durch natürliche Selektion erklären wollen. Immerhin könnte man aus dem Argument ja lernen, dass der menschliche Organismus in seinen kausal erklärbaren Funktionen neutral gegenüber dem Unterschied von Erkennen und Irren ist.
    Zu einem Kategorienfehler führt dieses Argument, weil Erkennen und Irren über wahr und falsch zu bestimmen sind. Wahr und falsch gehören einer anderen Kategorie an, liegen auf einer anderen Sprachebene als die Aussagen, die man als wahr oder falsch bezeichnet. Das hat Folgen, die ein einfaches Beispiel leicht belegt: Man denke an eine Rechenmaschine, die selbstverständlich richtige oder wahre (auf das spezielle Wort komme es hier nicht an) Ergebnisse und nicht falsche liefern soll. Um diesen Zusammenhang Schritt für Schritt zu analysieren, nehme man eine sehr einfache Rechenmaschine: ein Fahrrad. Zählt man die Umdrehungen der Tretkurbel im Verhältnis zu denen des Hinterrades, und, sagen wir, findet ein Verhältnis 1:3, so kann man damit multiplizieren: "5 x 3 = 15" lässt sich an den zugleich abgezählten Umdrehungen der beiden Räder ablesen. Wie aber, um den Kategoriensprung des Körper-Geist-Problems anzugeben, weiß das Fahrrad, dass "3 x 5 = 15" richtig und "3 x 5 = 14" falsch ist? Ja, ist nicht genau das der Kategorienfehler zu sagen, dass das Fahrrad etwas "weiß"? Nehmen wir zusätzlich an, die Kette sei zu locker. Bei zu kräftigem Antritt springt sie am Ritzel des Hinterrades über, oder sie springt völlig raus. Dann ist das Ergebnis von "3 x 5" vielleicht nur 14,6 - oder gar Null. Also scheint das Fahrrad gegenüber dem Unterschied richtiger und falscher Rechenergebnisse ebenso neutral wie das Hirn gegenüber Erkennen und Irren. Es "weiß" gar nichts.Hier werden nun die erwähnten Grundüberzeugungen und Menschenbilder manchem Hirnforscher zur selbst gestellten Falle: Zwar wird man als zugegeben finden: Die Wörter "richtig" und "falsch" für Rechenergebnisse lassen sich nicht durch Wörter für Zahnräder, Durchmesser oder für Zahlwörter und die arithmetischen "x" und "=" definieren. Sie sind "kategorial verschieden". In der Definition "Ein Rappe ist ein schwarzes Pferd" dagegen sind die Wörter "kategorial gleich". Man kann auf ein und dasselbe Objekt zeigen und sinnvoll sagen: Dies ist ein Rappe; dies ist ein Pferd, dies ist schwarz. Das heißt, beim Definieren begeht einen Kategorienfehler, wer die Verschiedenheit der Kategorien beim definierenden und dem definierten Teil ignoriert. Das ist in etwa der Kern der Einsicht, die Gilbert Ryle in seinem berühmten Buch "The Concept of Mind" (1949) für das Körper-Geist-Problem beschrieben hat. Und was machen Hirnforscher damit? Sie schwören auf Naturwissenschaft, genauer auf die eigene Naturwissenschaftlichkeit, besonders auf das Experiment, und behaupten: Zwar ist der Kategoriensprung vom Körper (Fahrrad, Hirn) zum Geist (Rechenergebnis, Erkenntnis) definitorisch nicht zu schaffen; aber Letzteres sei durch Ersteres kausal erklärbar. Besonders beliebt ist zu sagen, die geistigen Leistungen "beruhen auf" den materiellen des Hirns (Wolf Singer) und sind dadurch "kausal determiniert".
    "Kausal" ist nun wiederum kein naturwissenschaftlicher oder gar neurobiologischer Fachausdruck, sondern ein philosophischer. Entsprechend kraus sind die Einlassungen von Hirnforschern dazu. Ursache-Wirkungs-Verhältnisse, die sich im physikalischen oder chemischen Labor durch ein Experiment erkennen lassen (wenn in technischer Reproduktion gleiche Ursachen zu gleichen Abläufen oder Zuständen, also gleichen Wirkungen führen), betreffen in den Labors der Hirnforscher niemals nur "natürliche", d.h. mit naturwissenschaftlichen Verfahren technisch beherrschte Gegenstände. Nicht nur die großen Kaliber wie Willensfreiheit, Selbstbewusstsein, Intentionalität usw., auch die etwas kleineren Gegenstände wie "sehen", "erkennen" und "sich entscheiden", "schuldig/unschuldig", "verantwortlich/unverantwortlich" bezeichnen keine technisch im Labor reproduzierbaren Sachverhalte. Sie verweisen auf Kultürliches, auf Naturabweichendes, ja gegen die Natürlichkeit des Menschen in der Kultur von anderen Menschen mühsam Erlerntes. Auch das lässt sich wieder einfach belegen: Ohne Zweifel ist die Physiologie des Sehens eine höchst erfolgreiche, experimentelle Naturwissenschaft. Niemand, der z. B. eine Gleitsichtbrille trägt, wird bestreiten, dass der Augenkundler im Zusammenwirken mit der geometrischen Optik der Physiker über Struktur und Funktion des einzelnen wie der beiden Augen zusammen bestens Bescheid weiß. Aber was "Sehen" ist, was also das Wort Sehen bedeutet, kann die Physiologie so wenig definieren wie die Physik oder die Neurowissenschaft: Hätten die Laborexperten nicht schon im Alltagsleben sehen gelernt, und zwar zusammen mit dem Sprechen über Sehen, dann hätten ihre Wissenschaften rein gar nichts zu erklären; sie hätten keinen Gegenstand. Mehr noch, sie hätten auch keine Methoden, also keine Mittel des Erklärens, müssen sie sich doch im Labor immer darauf verständigen, was sie im Experiment gerade gemeinsam sehen! "Sehen" in diesem Sinne ist Kultur, nicht Natur. Der Kategorienfehler im kausalen Erklären entspricht genau dem im Definieren: Der erklärte Sachverhalt gehört zu einer anderen Kategorie als der erklärende. Etwas allgemeiner gesagt: seine tacid philosophy, seine stillschweigenden Grundüberzeugungen lassen den Hirnforscher vergessen, welches seine eigene Rolle im Geschäft des Forschens ist, und was er schon an Festsetzung und Wissen über den zu erklärenden Gegenstand mitbringen muss, um überhaupt ein Experiment veranstalten zu können.
    Dogmatisch ist die Grundüberzeugung, nur Definieren und Experimentieren, nur Logik und Erfahrung seien Werkzeuge der Naturwissenschaft, insofern sie die Zweck-Mittel-Verhältnisse der technischen und der begrifflichen Forschungsprozeduren - nein, nicht einfach vergisst, sondern beschweigt. Dass damit etwas Entscheidendes fehlt, sei zum Schluss gezeigt: Ist der Kategorienfehler des wissenden Fahrrads (oder Hirns) behebbar? Springt die Kette über, rechnet also die Maschine falsch, und irrt sich der Mensch trotz Hirn, so werden dadurch keine Naturgesetze widerlegt, nicht das Hebelgesetz am Fahrrad und nicht die neurophysiologischen Verhältnisse in den Synapsen. Nur der Zweck der Rechenmaschine ist verfehlt. Sie ist gestört. Und bei einem natürlichen, naturwissenschaftlichen Gegenstand wie dem Hirn? Wo sind da Zwecke? Nichts kann der Hirnforscher darüber sagen, ohne zu sprechen, ohne Beschreibungen oder Funktions-Modelle ins Verhältnis zu setzen. Wie die zwei Beschreibungen des Fahrrads, einmal der Zahnräder und einmal richtiger Rechenergebnisse in einem Mittel-Zweck-Verhältnis stehen, so auch die Hirnfunktionsbeschreibungen. Die Verschiedenheit der Kategorien bleibt, aber der Kategorienfehler einer angeblichen, aber missglückten Kausalerklärung ist verschwunden. Und die Willensfreiheit? Menschliche Schuldfähigkeit? Absichtlichkeit? Selbstbewusstsein? Alle sind kategorial verschieden von Experimental-Beschreibungen und als Zwecke einer Kausalerklärung nicht erfolgreich bestimmt. Der Richter toppt den vermeintlichen Naturforscher. Der ist in Wahrheit nur ein verkappter Hirnphilosoph, dem die dogmatische Kappe über die Augen gerutscht ist."

    Abstract
    Computerlinguistik (die Verarbeitung von Sprache mit dem Computer) und Texttechnologie (die automatisierte Handhabung elektronischer Texte) haben im letzten Jahrzehnt unterschiedliche Richtungen eingeschlagen. Beide Disziplinen speisen sich jedoch aus der gleichen Quelle: der formalen Grammatik. Deshalb ist eine gemeinsame Darstellung sinnvoll. Der Bezug auf die gemeinsamen Grundlagen und die kontrastierende Gegenüberstellung einzelner Teilbereiche fördern das Verständnis der jeweils anderen Disziplin und eröffnen interessante Querbezüge. Erstmals wird die Verknüpfung von Computerlinguistik und Texttechnologie mit dieser Einführung in knapper Form systematisch vollzogen, was sie insbesondere für Module im Bachelor-Studium geeignet macht.

    Abstract
    Moderne Verfahren des Information Retrieval verlangen nach aussagekräftigen und detailliert relationierten Dokumentationssprachen. Der selektive Transfer einzelner Modellierungsstrategien aus dem Bereich semantischer Technologien für die Gestaltung und Relationierung bestehender Dokumentationssprachen wird diskutiert. In Form einer Taxonomie wird ein hierarchisch strukturiertes Relationeninventar definiert, welches sowohl hinreichend allgemeine als auch zahlreiche spezifische Relationstypen enthält, die eine detaillierte und damit aussagekräftige Relationierung des Vokabulars ermöglichen. Das bringt einen Zugewinn an Übersichtlichkeit und Funktionalität. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Ansätzen und Überlegungen zur Schaffung von Relationeninventaren entwickelt der vorgestellte Vorschlag das Relationeninventar aus der Begriffsmenge eines bestehenden Gegenstandsbereichs heraus.
