    Abstract
    In der Psychologie bündeln das Sondersammelgebiet Psychologie der Saarländischen Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek (SULB) und das Zentrum für Psychologische Information und Dokumentation (ZPID) in einem von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) geförderten Projekt ihre Aktivitäten im Bereich der digitalen Psychologieinformation. Die zentralen Ziele des DFG-Projekts "Digitale Psychologie-Information" sind: - die Entwicklung und Propagierung eines Metadatenstandards für das Fach Psychologie, - die Anpassung des Spiders, Indexers und der Retrievalkomponenten der psychologiespezifischen Suchmaschine PsychSpider an diesen Metadatenstandard, - die Einrichtung eines Volltextservers für elektronische Dokumente aus der Psychologie, PsyDok, - die Integration der Linksammlung PsychLinker (ZPID) und des Fachinformationsführers Psychologie FIPS (SULB), - die Beteiligung der Fachcommunity an der Erschließung hochwertiger Internetressourcen.

    Abstract
    Bei der Gestaltung des Fernunterrichts sollten mehrere Lerntheorien herangezogen werden. Kognitive, pragmatische und affektive Lernziele wurden formuliert. Für die kognitiven Lernziele wurde die Lernzieltaxonomie von Bloom an die weitergehenden Erfordernisse des Formalerschließungsunterrichts angepasst. Daneben wurden persönliche Kompetenzen angegeben. Der Unterricht muss auf die Bedürfnisse der Zielgruppe abgestimmt sein. Zu beachten sind Alter, Bildungsgrad, fachspezifische Vorbildung, Geschlecht und die verschiedenen Lernstile. Besonders Fernstudien bedürfen entsprechender Motivierung der Lernenden. Dafür wurde die ARCS-Motivationstheorie um den Punkt "Freiheit" erweitert. Die neun Instruktionsereignisse von Gagné wurden durch konstruktivistische Methoden zu elf "didaktischen Anweisungen" ergänzt und für den Formalerschließungsfernunterricht ausformuliert.

    Abstract
    Die Spatzen pfeifen es von den Bibliotheksdächern: Information im weitesten Sinne - von der Fakteninformation bis zum Volltext, von der Print-Monographie bis zum E-Journal - gibt es immer mehr, der (Such- und Lese-) Tag des Informationsbedürftigen aber hat sich nicht verlängert, sondern bleibt hartnäckig bei 24 Stunden. Integration, Zusammenführung der nach wie vor dezentralen Angebote an einer zentralen Such-Stelle wird unvermeidlich, um dem hier drohenden Information Overkill zu begegnen - ohne allerdings damit gleich selbst wieder einen Beitrag zu leisten zum Mengenproblem: Integrierte Angebote müssen stets auch Individualisierungen, müssen fachliche und persönliche Zugänge und Profildienste ermöglichen, die je Überflüssiges sofort herausfiltern. Auf diesen Prämissen aufsetzend arbeitet INFOCONNEX, der Informationsverbund Bildung-Sozialwissenschaften-Psychologie - in der Trias seiner drei fachlichen Inhaltsbereiche und darüber hinaus im Kontext der drei weiteren Informationsverbünde und der über zwanzig Virtuellen Fachbibliotheken. Alle diese Informationsstrukturen gemeinsam entwickeln, gefördert von der DFG und dem BMBF, mit VASCODA einen zentralen Zugang, ein zentrales Portal zur Breite der wissenschaftlichen Information in Deutschland.

    Abstract
    Der vollständige Projektname von Renardus lautet "Academic Subject Gateway Service Europe". Renardus wird von der Europäischen Union im 5. Rahmenprogramm mit dem Schwerpunktthema "Information Society Technologies" im zweiten Thematischen Programm "Benutzerfreundliche Informationsgesellschaft" ('Promoting a User-friendly Information Society') gefördert. Die Projektlaufzeit ist von Januar 2000 bis Juni 2002. Insgesamt zwölf Partner (Principal und Assistant Contractors) aus Finnland, Dänemark, Schweden, Großbritannien, den Niederlanden, Frankreich und Deutschland beteiligen sich an diesem Projekt. Die Europäische Union unterstützt das Projekt mit 1,7 Mio. EURO, die Gesamtkosten belaufen sich inklusive der Eigenbeteiligungen der Partner auf 2,3 Mio. EURO. Das Ziel des Projektes Renardus ist es, über eine Schnittstelle Zugriff auf verteilte Sammlungen von "High Quality" Internet Ressourcen in Europa zu ermöglichen. Diese Schnittstelle wird über den Renardus Broker realisiert, der das "Cross-Searchen" und "Cross-Browsen" über verteilte "Quality-Controlled Subject Gateways" ermöglicht. Ein weiteres Ziel von Renardus ist es, Möglichkeiten von "metadata sharing" zu evaluieren und in kleinen Experimenten zwischen z. B. Subject Gateways und Nationalbibliothek zu testen bzw. zu realisieren

    Abstract
    1998 regte die Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft (DFG) im zweiten Teil des Memorandums zur "Weiterentwicklung der überregionalen Literaturversorgung" die Bildung Virtueller Fachbibliotheken an. So entstand für die Sondersammelgebietsbibliotheken "die Verpflichtung, zusätzlich zu den umfassend erworbenen Medien, wie Büchern und Mikroformen, auch (...) elektronische Informationen zu erschließen und den Benutzern in geeigneter Form zur Verfügung zu stellen." Da die Saarländische Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek (SULB) seit 1966 das Sondersammelgebiet (SSG) Psychologie betreut, ergab sich für sie die Chance, im Rahmen des Förderkonzeptes der DFG die Virtuelle Fachbibliothek Psychologie einzurichten. Die DFG fördert eine Reihe Virtueller Fachbibliotheken, die unter dem gemeinsamen Dach VIFANET zusammengeschlossen sind. Die klassischen Aufgaben des SSG, Sammlung und Erschließung wissenschaftlicher Literatur, wurden ergänzt durch die Einbeziehung von elektronischen Dokumenten. Dieses Vorhaben wurde am SSG Psychologie zum 1. Oktober 1998 in Angriff genommen. Am 31. August 2002 endete die Förderung des Projektes durch die DFG: Grund genug, im Rahmen der Artikelreihe des BIBLIOTHEKSDIENST über die Virtuellen Fachbibliotheken Bilanz zu ziehen. Dabei werden zunächst die Zielsetzungen des Projektes rekapituliert und seine Entwicklung skizziert. Vor allem sollen einzelne Arbeitsschritte und Methoden transparent gemacht werden, mit denen die Angebote der Virtuellen Fachbibliothek Psychologie entwickelt wurden. Nach einem Fazit wird schließlich ein Ausblick auf mögliche und nötige Weiterentwicklungen gegeben.
