    Abstract
    Moderne Lehr-Lern-Technologien führen zu weitreichenden Veränderungen im Bildungswesen. Gleichzeitig wirft ihr einsatz neue fragen auf, z.B. hinsichtlich des hohen Erstellungs- und Pflegeaufwandes sowie planerisch-organisatorischer Probleme in den Hochschulen. Anknüpfend an die HRK-Empfehlungen werden insbesondere folgende Fragen aufgegriffen: Information über verfügbare Lehrprogramme; die Rolle von Rechen-/Medienzentren und Bibliotheken; die inhaltliche Verantwortung der Fachbereiche; sinnvolle Einstiegsfelder medialer Lehrangebote; Kooperation und Wettbewerb zwischen den Hochschulen; Erweiterung der Entscheidungs- und Handlungsautonomie der Hochschulen; finanzierungsbedingungen und Anreize für die Erstellung medialer Lehrprogramme. Zusammenfassend ist darauf hinzuweisen, daß Medienlehre hohe Potentiale für das Selbstlernen und die Anpassung an individuelle Lernbedingungen enthält, die konkrete Umsetzung jedoch neue realistische Konzepte erfordert

    Abstract
    Der Autor stellt einen Erklärungsansatz im Kontext der Mensch-Computer-Interaktion vor. Erklärungen dienen dazu, Entscheidungen des Systems für den Benutzer verständlich bzw. nachvollziehbar zu machen. Sie müssen daher an den Wissensstand des Benutzers angepaßt werden. Gestützt auf die Analyse aktueller pragmatischer Erklärungsmodelle aus der Wissenschaftstheorie und der Künstlichen Intelligenz Forschung (KI) wird für einen umfassenden Erklärungsansatz plädiert, welcher wissensbasierte Methoden aus der KI mit den nicht-linearen und flexiblen Eigenschaften des neuen Mediums Hypertext kombiniert. Dabei werden vor allem Techniken der Benutzermodellierung, der adaptiven Textgenerierung und des Information Retrieval sowie des Hypertext berücksichtigt, um sowohl dem System als auch dem Benutzer aktives Vorgehen und flexible Dialoge bei Erklärungssituationen zu ermöglichen. Im Vordergrund der Darstellung stehen unter anderem Verfahren zur Generierung von Fragemenüs und von Erklärungen, welche dem Arbeitskontext und der Erklärungssituation sowie den Benutzerinteressen gerecht werden.     Ausbildung, kontinuierliche Weiterbildung und praktische Erfahrungen schaffen eine solide Grundlage für die Bewältigung von Wandlungsprozessen. Um den Anforderungen des Wandels gerecht zu werden, sind jedoch Anpassungsangebote notwendig. Die Präsenzangebote in Form von Inhouse-Trainingsprogrammen werden heute immer häufiger durch das Lernmedium Computer verdrängt. Auf diese Weise können durch individuelles Training bei freier Zeiteinteilung Defizite kompensiert werden. Die Vorteile beider Strategien führen zum Thema Lernen im Netz.
