Abstract

There are a number of differences that made downloading and editing output from the WWW more difficult than traditional online databases: organisationally inconsistent collections of documents, multiplicity of document structures, navigational differences, output differences depending on browser and methods used to download, and availability of graphics as a content format. Sets out 5 methods for downloading WWW: copy and paste, save an entire page as a file, saving a page as a file, mail a WWW document, printing the document and capturing and using graphics. Indicates likely future improvements
