Abstract

Technische Publikationen sind typischerweise komplex, umfangreich und langlebig. Erstellung, Pflege und Aufbereitung für unterschiedliche Benutzungsanforderungen verlangen ein effektives organisatorisches Konzept. Enge Zeit- und Budgetvorgaben erfordern ein hohes Maß an Automatisierung und Modularität im produktionsprozeß. Zur Erfüllung dieser Anforderungen im Rahmen einer Compound Document Processing Architecture ist die systemunabhängige Dokumentstruktur-Beschreibungssprache SGML (ISO 8879) ein erster wichtiger Baustein, weitere (z.B. DSSSL, SPDL) werden zur Zeit entwickelt
