Abstract

Immer mehr Nutzer wünschen sich zusätzlich zu den bibliographischen Angaben der Bibliothekskataloge ergänzende weiterführende Informationen: bei InternetBuchhändlern wie amazon.de werden solche Informationen standardmäßig angeboten, sie erleichtern die Entscheidung, das Dokument zu kaufen. Diese Dienstleistungen wünschen sich die Nutzer auch von ihrer Bibliothek. In den Bibliotheken kommt es häufig vor, dass Publikationen "auf Verdacht" aus den Magazinen bestellt werden, weil die Leser anhand der. bibliographischen Daten nicht beurteilen können, ob ein Buch relevant ist. Titelaufnahmen, die Links zu Inhaltsverzeichnissen enthalten, bieten den Nutzern die Informationen, die für diese Entscheidung notwendig sind. Werden die Leser nun besser mit ergänzenden Informationen versorgt, werden Bücher und Ressourcen geschont und effektiveres Arbeiten wird möglich, auf beiden Seiten. Hier setzt die Lösung des BSZ an: Fachreferenten aus den Bibliotheken der SWBRegion wählen qualifiziert Inhaltsverzeichnisse aus, die zum Scannen bereitgestellt werden. Die Inhaltsverzeichnisse, Verlagsinformationen etc. werden in den Bibliotheken gescannt und gelangen über einen sehr einfachen, kostenlosen und leicht bedienbaren Workflow von den Bibliotheken automatisch in das BSZ. Hier wird das Dokument gespeichert und mit der dazugehörigen Titelaufnahme verknüpft. So ist es im Verbund und selbstverständlich auch im lokalen WebOpac per Link aufrufbar - für jeden Nutzer.
