Abstract
'Information verfügbar machen' war das Motto der Kongreßmesse 'Document Imaging '94' im Oktober in Berlin. Anwendern aus Versicherungen oder Banken genauso wie aus Konstruktionsabteilungen und Krankenhäusern sollten Möglichkeiten gezeigt werden, wie man schnell auf lebende, aktuell zu bearbeitende, aber auch auf selten aus dem Archiv benötigte Dokumente zugreifen kann. Dazu werden Dokumente mehr und mehr binär gespeichert und im Client Server-Betrieb per Datennetz verfügbar gemacht
