    Abstract
    Die ASB hat Zuwachs bekommen! Lange ging die Arbeitsgruppe 'ASB-Überarbeitung' mit der Idee schwanger, die Hauptgruppenfamilie zu vergrößern. Auf der 16. Sitzung erblickte nun 'Z' das Licht der (ASB-)Welt! Im folgenden weitere Informationen über die Zusammenkunft der Arbeitsgruppe, die vom 3. bis 5. Dezember '98 in der Stadtbücherei Stuttgart stattfand. Schwerpunkte der Sitzung waren die Hauptgruppen R,S,U und V. Darüber hinaus konnten die Gliederungsentwürfe für die Hautpgruppen G, M und Y endgültig abgeschlossen werden. Einige Entscheidungen aus vorangegangenen Beratungsrunden wurden modifiziert - ein Beleg für die Dynamik des Überarbeitungsprozesses und das ungebrochene Engagement aller Beteiligten!     Abstract
    Mit den Worten 'Licht am Ende des Tunnels' und 'Zielgerade in Sicht' charakterisierte Albrecht Fischer (ekz) den erreichten Stand der Systematik-Revision bei der Begrüßung der Arbeitsgruppe 'ASB-Überarbeitung'. Sie hatte sich vom 8.-10.3.99 zu ihrer Sitzung in Reutlingen getroffen. Der Tagungsort war nicht zufällig gewählt, ist die ekz doch künftig Großanwender der neuen Gliederungslösungen. Ab Nummer 1/2000 sollen die neuen ASB-Notationen im ekz-Informationsdienst transportiert werden. Während der Sitzung beschäftigte sich die Arbeitsgruppe mit 6 Hauptgruppen in unterschiedlichen Beratungsstadien. Im wesentlichen abgeschlossen werden konnten die Teilgliederungen für R,S,U und V. Erstmals standen die Gliederungsvorschläge für die Hauptgruppen W und X auf der Tagesordnung

    Abstract
    Im Jahre 1999 hörte ich bei einer Tagung von Neurowissenschaftlern und Geistesphilosophen einen Vortrag der bekannten Neurophilosophin Patricia Churchland. In der anschließenden Diskussion fragte sie ein Zuschauer die Große Frage: Wie denn nun Gehirn und Bewusstsein zusammenhingen? Churchland antwortete (so zumindest habe ich es in meinem kreativen Gedächtnis gespeichert): Nun, dazu seien wir ja hier, um das von den Neurobiologen zu erfahren. Es war die Bankrotterklärung der Philosophie: Bewusstsein als biologisches Problem. Allerdings war die Kapitulation der Geistesphilosophen zu der Zeit nachvollziehbar, denn die Neurowissenschaften zeigten quasi täglich neu die enge Kopplung von Gehirnfunktion und Erlebnisinhalten, die skurrilen Ausfallserscheinungen bei neurologischen Patienten mit klar definierten Schädigungen, und biochemische, drogeninduzierte Veränderungen des Bewusstseins. The exact computations of the social brain, however, remain elusive. Here we investigated how the human br ain tracks ongoing changes in social relationships using functional neuroimaging. Participants were lead characters in a role-playing game in which they were to find a new home and a job through interactions with virtual cartoon characters. We found that a two-dimensional geometric model of social relationships, a "social space" framed by power and affiliation, predicted hippocampal activity. Moreover, participants who reported better social skills showed stronger covariance between hippocampal activity and "movement" through "social space." The results suggest that the hippocampus is crucial for social cognition, and imply that beyond framing physical locations, the hippocampus computes a more general, inclusive, abstract, and multidimensional cognitive map consistent with its role in episodic memory.].

    § 4 Publikation 1. Der jeweilige Verband übernimmt die Publikation der betreffenden Neuauflage sowie der dazugehörigen Schlag- und Stichwortregister: BIB für ASB und DBV für KAB. 2. Beide Verbände legen einvernehmlich die einheitliche Gestaltung der Publikation fest, um auch so die langfristige Zusammenführung zu befördern. § 5 Mittel 1. BIB und DBV bringen in diese Kooperation die Urheberrechte an beiden Systematiken ein. Für koordinierende, sachbearbeitende und redaktionelle Aufgaben im Rahmen der Arbeitsstelle Systematikkooperation stellen DBV und BIB darüber hinaus die Erlöse aus der Verwertung dieser Urheberrechte im notwendigen Umfang zur Verfügung. BIB und DBV tragen außerdem jeweils maximal 1.000 Euro jährlich zur Abdeckung der Sachkosten (insbesondere der Reisekosten) der Expertengruppe. 2. Die ekz bringt sich mit Systematisierern und Lektoren aktiv in die Arbeit der Expertengruppe ein. 3. Die ekz beteiligt sich darüber hinaus mit 1.000 Euro jährlich an den Sachkosten (insbesondere Reisekosten) der Expertengruppe bei, wobei damit die Expertengruppe unterstützt wird, die gerade tätig ist (s. § 3). Personalkosten sind aus diesen Mitteln nicht zu bestreiten. 4. Das Urheberrecht an der veränderten Fassung der betreffenden Systematik bleibt beim jeweiligen Verband, BIB oder DBV. Er fungiert als Herausgeber. Die weitere Verwertung der überarbeiteten Systematiken bleibt den Verbänden BIB bzw. DBV vorbehalten. Dabei ist auf eine maschinelle Fassung zu verzichten, wenn diese Vermarktung die Finanzierung der Arbeitsstelle gefährdet. 5. Fortbildungsmaßnahmen zu Neuauflagen und zur Systematisierungspraxis sind im Interesse der Kooperationspartner von der Arbeitsstelle mit interessierten Büchereien bzw. Fachstellen getrennt zu regeln. Eine Urheberrechtsabgabe wird dazu nicht erhoben.
