    Abstract
    Kalliope ist der deutsche Verbund zur Katalogisierung von Nachlässen und Autographen. Grundlage der seit Ende des Jahres 2001 im Internet frei zugänglichen Datenbank ist die Zentralkartei der Autographen (ZKA). Die ZKA hält in Form eines Zettelkataloges über 1,2 Millionen Handschriften und Nachlässe, ihre Standorte und beschreibende Informationen für den Benutzer bereit. Der Aufbau dieses Zettelkataloges begann 1966 und wurde mit der Unterstützung der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) und der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (SBB) bis Mitte der 90er Jahre in Zettelform betrieben. Die Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin ist auch der Standort der Zettelkataloge und der Datenbank. Das Besondere an der ZKA ist, dass die Nachweise materialbezogen sind und somit von Anfang an einen Großteil der deutschen Bibliotheken, viele Archive und Museen sowie Autographenbeschreibungen berücksichtigen. Hinzu kommen Nachweise zu Nachlässen aus deutschen Auktionskatalogen vor 1950.

    Abstract
    Die künftigen Herausforderungen einer effizienten wissenschaftlichen Informationsinfrastruktur sind erheblich. Zu ihrer Bewältigung kommt es auf eine enge Abstimmung aller beteiligten Akteure an. Eine entsprechende Klärung der Rolle der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) und ihres Selbstverständnisses bei der Förderung versucht der Beitrag zu leisten. Ein Teil der DFG-Förderung, die Sondersammelgebiete, wird nach einer intensiven Programmevaluierung grundsätzlich neu ausgerichtet. Hieraus folgt eine weitreichende Umstrukturierung, da sich der Beitrag des neuen Förderprogramms, der Fachinformationsdienste, nicht mehr vorrangig auf umfassende Literatursammlungen bezieht. Ausgehend von einem Rückblick auf den über 60-jährigen Wandel der Förderung wird dargelegt, welche komplementäre Funktion die qualitätsorientierte Zusatzfinanzierung der DFG für Aufbau und Weiterentwicklung von Informationsinfrastrukturen erfüllt. Anschließend wird beschrieben, welche Aufgabe den Fachinformationsdiensten im Gefüge überregionaler Informationsinfrastrukturen zukommt und was der weiterentwickelte Rahmen der DFG-Förderung für die bibliothekarische Sammlung bedeuten kann.

    Abstract
    Die laufende Umgestaltung des etablierten Systems der von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) geförderten Sondersammelgebiete in Fachinformationsdienste für die Wissenschaft wird in der bibliothekarischen Öffentlichkeit, nicht nur von den betroffenen Bibliotheken, intensiv diskutiert. Der Beitrag schildert den Übergang von den Sondersammelgebieten zu Fachinformationsdiensten aus der Perspektive einer betroffenen Bibliothek, der Universitätsbibliothek Tübingen. Dabei werden sowohl die Konzepte, die die Bibliothek für ihre bereits gestellten Fachinformationsanträge verfolgte, dargestellt als auch bibliotheksübergreifende Überlegungen zur Umgestaltung des Sondersammelgebietssystems und seinen Konsequenzen angestellt.

    Abstract
    Die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft fördert in 23 Universitätsbibliotheken (Sondersammelgebieten), 47 Spezialbibliotheken und 3 zentralen Fachbibliotheken ein System der überregionalen Literatur- und Informationsversorgung. Dieses System kooperativer umfassender Sammlung weltweit vorhandener wissenschaftlicher Literatur sollte erstmals aus der Nutzerperspektive evaluiert werden. Es sollten Form und Umfang der tatsächlichen wie der potentiellen Nutzung sowie jetzige und zukünftige Bedarfe ermittelt werden, und zwar beispielhaft in den Fächern Anglistik, Betriebswirtschaft, Biologie, Geschichte und Maschinenbau. Das Projekt wurde 2002/2003 von der Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek Münster zusammen mit infas-Institut für angewandte Sozialwissenschaft GmbH durchgeführt. Diese Veröffentlichung zeigt den ersten Teil der Ergebnisse, die das Informationsverhalten von Wissenschaftlern und Wissenschaftlerinnen in den fünf Fächern betreffen.

    Abstract
    Die »Neuausrichtung überregionaler Informationsservices« zielt auf eine Restrukturierung der Informationsinfrastruktur in Deutschland, die in ihren Umrissen im DFG-Positionspapier von 2011 skizziert wurde. So sollen die bisher regional organisierten Basisdienste der Verbünde als vorrangig funktional definierte, nationale und nachhaltige Services, die auch international vernetzt sein müssen, etabliert werden. Strukturbildende, fächerübergreifende und national ausgerichtete Angebote sollen als Zusatzdienste aufgebaut werden, die auch die veränderten Arbeitsformen der Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aufgreifen. Da eine so tiefgreifende Umstrukturierung nur mit zusätzlichen Mitteln ins Werk gesetzt werden kann, hat die Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) eine Ausschreibung zu diesem Thema veröffentlicht, aus der im März 2013 drei bewilligte Projekte hervorgingen. Die Umsetzung der Projekte und damit der Restrukturierungsprozess insgesamt werden von der DFG mit verschiedenen Aktivitäten begleitet.

    Abstract
    Wie müssen wir virtuelle Rundgänge und Online-Tutorials gestalten, damit sie ihre Zielgruppe auch wirklich erreichen? Worauf müssen wir bei einer guten Präsentation unseres OPACs achten? Was machen wir mit großen Schülergruppen? Diesen Fragen stellten sich insgesamt 22 Bibliothekarinnen und Bibliothekare in Münster und Köln während zweier Fortbildungsveranstaltungen des HBZ im Juni 2003. Ziel der jeweils zweitägigen Workshops, die in Zusammenarbeit mit der Adhoc-Arbeitsgruppe "Informationskompetenz" der AG der Universitätsbibliotheken im VBNW konzipiert wurden, waren Konzepte und erste Schritte zur Umsetzung von elektronischen Angeboten zur Vermittlung von Bibliotheksbzw. Informationskompetenz. Dem voraus ging die konstruktive Bewertung von bereits existierenden Materialien, die zum einen von den Teilnehmern aus ihren Bibliotheken mitgebracht wurden, zum anderen über Bibliotheks-Homepages abrufbar waren. Die Teilnehmer, die in ihren Bibliotheken bereits Benutzerschulungen konzipieren und durchführen, beschäftigten sich dabei in Gruppen u.a. mit den Themen - Virtuelle Rundgänge, - Online-Tutorials - Bibliothekseinführungen für Schüler und Erstsemester - Präsentationen von Online-Katalog und Methoden zur Literatursuche. Im Folgenden werden einige wesentliche und manchmal durchaus kontrovers diskutierte Ergebnisse und Thesen wiedergegeben, die sich aus der Arbeit der Teilnehmer ergeben haben. Sie erheben keinen Anspruch auf Ausgewogenheit oder Vollständigkeit, können aber als Anregungen und Diskussionsgrundlage für zukünftige Projekte dienen.
