- Abstract
- Systematisches Wissensmanagement wird in kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen aufgrund fehlender personeller Ressourcen kaum realisiert. Dabei wird aber die Fähigkeit, die Ressource »Wissen« zu verwalten und in innovative Produkte und Dienstleistungen umzusetzen, immer mehr zum kritischen Erfolgsfaktor für mittelständische Unternehmen. Erfolgreiche Wissensmanagementlösungen von Großunternehmen lassen sich aufgrund des Aufwandes (finanzieller, technischer und organisatorischer Art) nicht ohne weiteres auf den Mittelstand übertragen, sondern praktikable Lösungen, die auf die konkreten, teilweise sehr spezifischen Bedürfnisse dieser Zielgruppe eingehen und vom Umsetzungsaufwand praktikabel sind, werden gesucht. Der vorgeschlagene Beitrag schildert die Durchführung eines WM-Projektes in einem Unternehmen mit weniger als 100 Mitarbeitern auf Basis einer Filemaker-Anwendung. Neben der Vorstellung dieses Tools und seiner Vorteile für kleinere Unternehmen werden die begleitenden Maßnahmen - organisatorischer und psychologischer Art - dargestellt, die erst die erfolgreiche Umsetzung von WM ermöglichen. WM wird als ganzheitliches Konzept gesehen, indem die IT nur einen von mehreren Erfolgsfaktoren darstellt. Die Anpassung betrieblicher Organisationsstrukturen sowie der Veränderungsprozess der Mitarbeiter muss systematisch gesteuert und aufgebaut werden. Die Erfahrungen mit speziell entwickelten Schulungen, die den Veränderungsprozess der Mitarbeiter unterstützen sollen, werden vorgestellt. Erst die konsequente und gleichwertige Einbindung von IT-Mitarbeitern und -Organisationsstrukturen oder auch abstrakter formuliert die Verbindung Technik-Mensch-Organisation garantiert Erfolg und messbare Ergebnisse von WM-Projekten. - Abstract
- Informationsmanagement ist Management- wie Technikdisziplin und gilt als Teil der Unternehmensführung. Die Notwendigkeitvon Medienunternehmen, einem qualifizierten Informationsmanagement nachzukommen, gründet vor allem auf jüngsten Entwicklungen im sozialen, wirtschaftlichen und technischen Bereich. Eine landesweite Analyse aus Expertengesprächen mit Geschäftsführern und Technischen Leitern in österreichischen Medienunternehmen brachte folgende Ergebnisse: Medienunternehmen betreiben ein auf mehrere Abteilungen verteiltes, sog. funktionales Informationsmanagement. Die Institutionalisierung in Form eines Informationsmanagers oder einer IM-Abteilung wird von der Unternehmensgröße, entsprechenden Bewerbern oder auch der Finanzierung abhängig gemacht. In einem Branchenvergleich von Medienunternehmen mit Banken und Versicherungen ergaben sich in Bezug auf das Informationsmanagement viele Übereinstimmungen; allerdings übersteigt bei Medienunternehmen die Bedeutung der Informations- und Kommunikationssysteme eindeutig den Stellenwert der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik. In einem Ausblick wird Medienunternehmen die Schaffung eines Informationsmanagers empfohlen.

- Abstract
- Das Umfeld von Organisationen wird zunehmend dynamisch: Um überleben zu können, müssen die Unternehmen ein Wissensmanagernentsystem aufbauen. Das Handbuch unterstützt sie dabei. Der Autor vermittelt verständlich die theoretischen Grundlagen für die Generierung von Wissen aus Daten und Informationen. Er beschreibt die wichtigsten Komponenten von WM-Systemen mit Anwendungsbeispielen und stellt die wesentlichen Programmiersprachen vor. Praxisorientiert wird gezeigt, wie man im Unternehmen Wissen aufspürt, verwaltet, vermehrt und wieder dem Betrieb zuführt. Auch die soziale Komponente: "Wie integriere ich das System im Unternehmen?" wird angesprochen.

- Abstract
- Die oft beschriebene Zunahme der Relevanz von Information und Wissen ergibt sich nicht nur aus der generellen Erhöhung der Informationsmenge am Markt, sondern auch aus dem Grund der zunehmenden Spezialisierung der 'Knowledge Worker'. Die Bedeutung von Querschnittsfunktionen nimmt im Rahmen dieser permanenten Höherqualifizierung und Spezialisierung naturgemäß zu. So wird es für verschiedene Vertriebsbereiche wichtig, auf gemeinsame Logistik-Erfahrungen zugreifen zu können. Die Produktentwicklung, die Kundenbetreuung und das Marketing müssen auf Ergebnisse der Research-Abteilung zugreifen können. Die Personalabteilung ist ebenso wie die Weiterbildung und die Fachbereiche darauf angewiesen, neuen Mitarbeitern die für eine rasche Einarbeitung relevanten Inhalte schnell zu vermitteln. Informationsmedien wie Daten- oder Dokumentenbanken nehmen also auch bereichsübergreifend zunehmend eine Informationsrolle ein. Die Verwaltung dieser Inhalte stellen die Unternehmen vor nicht kleine Probleme. Mit dem Bereitstellen der Inhalte ist jedoch noch nichts erreicht. Erst wenn die Inhalte auch genutzt werden, kann die Information verwendet werden. Daher kommt der korrekten Strukturierung eine entscheidende Bedeutung zu. In der Praxis stellt sich dies heute als nicht realisierbar@ Anforderung heraus. Das fängt schon bei der TerminologieProblematik an. Kann man sich innerhalb der Research-Abteilung schon nicht einigen, ob Knowledge Management zu Management oder zu Informations-Technologie zugeordnet werden soll, so kann der suchende Anwender im Personalbereich dies erst recht nicht einschätzen und weiß demzufolge auch nicht, wo er denn weiche Inhalte zu suchen hat. Nachem die Research-Abteilung diese Zuordnung nicht eindeutig treffen kann, wird ein zentraler Bereich, der die Informationen verwalten soll, damit sicherlich überfordert sein. Mit der innovativen Grundidee des Topic Map Standards ISO 13250, der eine klare Trennung zwischen Struktur und Inhalt ermöglicht, ergeben sich neue ManagementKonzepte für derartige Inhalte. In dem Vortrag wird zuerst auf die oben genannte Problematik hingewiesen. Danach werden Topic Maps in ihrem Grundprinzip erläutert. Daran schließt sich eine Beschreibung der Organisationskonzepte in grösseren Organisationen an, mit denen die beschriebene Problematik gelöst werden kann

- Abstract
- Der vorliegende Band ist eine Dokumentation eines Seminars im Studiengang Informationswirtschaft an der Hochschule der Medien. Mit den Beiträgen hoffen der Herausgeber und die Autoren, einen Einblick in die derzeitige Diskussion um die Konzeption, die Einführung und den Betrieb von Knowledge Communities zur Unterstützung von Wissensaustausch und -management geben zu können. Angesprochen sind gleichermaßen Studierende wie Praktiker in den Unternehmen. eine Vielzahl von Käufern und Anbietern auf einer Plattform zusammen und bewirken so eine Bündelung von produkt- bzw. branchenrelevanten Informationen und Handelsaktivitäten. Dabei unterstützen sie beide Marktseiten gleichermaßen bei der Anbahnung und Abwicklung von Transaktionen. Das Buch behandelt die spezielle Form der Business-to-Business-Marktplätze, denen Prognosen das größte Wachstumspotenzial vorhersagen. Der Inhalt beruht auf einer Forschungsarbeit im Studiengang Informationswirtschaft an der Stuttgarter Hochschule der Medien in Kooperation mit dem Fraunhofer-Institut für Arbeitswirtschaft und Organisation (IAO), ebenfalls in Stuttgart. Ziel ist es, kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen die Auswahlentscheidung für eine Marktplatzteilnahme zu erleichtern. Dafür werden funktionelle Grundlagen und Potenziale aufgezeigt, verschiedene Marktplatztypen und Geschäftsmodelle vorgestellt sowie Checklisten geliefert, die die Bewertung eines Marktplatzes ermöglichen.

- Abstract
- Das Umfeld von Organisationen wird zunehmend dynamisch: Um überleben zu können, müssen die Unternehmen ein Wissensmanagernentsystem aufbauen. Das Handbuch unterstützt sie dabei. Der Autor vermittelt verständlich die theoretischen Grundlagen für die Generierung von Wissen aus Daten und Informationen. Er beschreibt die wichtigsten Komponenten von WM-Systemen mit Anwendungsbeispielen und stellt die wesentlichen Programmiersprachen vor. Praxisorientiert wird gezeigt, wie man im Unternehmen Wissen aufspürt, verwaltet, vermehrt und wieder dem Betrieb zuführt. Auch die soziale Komponente: "Wie integriere ich das System im Unternehmen?" wird angesprochen. Mit der Aufnahme des zusätzlichen Kapitels "Wissensbasierte Geschäftsprozessmodellierung" und dem damit verbundenen Ausbau des Themas "Wissensmanagementsystem" wird nunmehr das gesamte Themengebiet "Wissensmanagement" abgedeckt.
