Abstract

Describes the management and services of the American Archives of the Factual Film (AAFF), which was established in 1974 as a programme of the Special Collections Department in the Parks Library at Iowa State University. The collection began with a gift of films, books and reference materials on the history of the factual film and now comprises approximately 12.000 catalogues film titles covering a wide range of subjects. The AAFF is a collection of business, documentary, industrial, educational, technical and training films, which began as a research collection but now also provides stock footage to film production companies
