- Abstract
- Internet und Intranet eröffnen völlig neue Perspektiven in der Informationsverarbeitung. Bereiche, in denen die Gestaltung der Außenbeziehungen eine hohe strategische Bedeutung hat, stehen vor der Herausforderung, sich mit den neuen Techniken des Internet beschäftigen zu müssen. Auch wenn die kurzfristigen wirtschaftlichen Erfolge nicht unmittelbar in monetären Größen bewertet werden können, droht bei Ignorieren dieser Technologie ein Imageverlust gegenüber der Konkurrenz. Es spricht vieles dafür, daß die Erfolgspotentiale von Internet und Intranet in den nächsten Jahren nur dann realisiert werden können, wenn die dafür notwendigen Lernprozesse bereits jetzt eingeleitet werden

- Die gemeinsame Nutzung von Programmen, Daten und Dokumenten auf einem Server ist in vielen Organisationen üblich. - Abstract
- Die Entstehung und Gestaltung intraorganisationaler Netzwerke ist Teil der gegenwärtigen Entwicklung zur Informationsgesellschaft. Dieses Buch befasst sich mit der Entstehung von Netzwerken zwischen Mitarbeitern eines Unternehmens und den Auswirkungen auf die Performanz dieser Unternehmen. Dabei wird erstmalig die institutionelle und evolutionäre Netzwerktheorie (Nelson/Winter) auf intraorganisationale Probleme und Interdependenzen, Lernprozesse und gelernte Kooperationen zwischen Mitarbeitern angewendet. So wird die hierarchische Unternehmensorganisation um netzwerkbasierte Interaktionsformen erweitert. - Abstract
- Überblick über die Datennetze im Forschungszentrum Jülich. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei der Zusammenhang zwischen den speziellen Anforderungen und Anwendungen eines zentralen Informationsdienstleisters (Zentralbibliothek) und der daraus resultierenden Gestaltung und Strukturierung der Datennetze. Es wird gezeigt, daß die zukünftige Netzlast der Informationsgesellschaft im Zeitalter von Multimedia nur mit modernster Lichtwellenleitertechnik zu bewältigen ist

- Die meisten Intranets stehen vor einem Informationsinfarkt - es fehlt in den Organisationen vielfach an klaren Rollenkonzepten zur Eingabe, Pflege und Weiterentwicklung der Intranets, vor allem aber auch an methodischen Grundsätzen zur Erfassung und Erschließung der verschiedenartigen Informationen. In diesem Beitrag werden die Grundkonzepte zur Meta-Strukturierung beschrieben, eine erprobte Vorgehensweise bei der Implementierung entsprechender Standards erarbeitet und zur besseren Illustration an konkreten Beispielen dargestellt
