    Abstract
    Überblick über die Datennetze im Forschungszentrum Jülich. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei der Zusammenhang zwischen den speziellen Anforderungen und Anwendungen eines zentralen Informationsdienstleisters (Zentralbibliothek) und der daraus resultierenden Gestaltung und Strukturierung der Datennetze. Es wird gezeigt, daß die zukünftige Netzlast der Informationsgesellschaft im Zeitalter von Multimedia nur mit modernster Lichtwellenleitertechnik zu bewältigen ist

Das Werk endet mit der "Autorenhinweise" betitelten Seite 81, auf der man zwei Farbfotos der Autoren und jeweils einige Sätze zu ihrer fachlichen und beruflichen Qualifikation findet. Sortiert man alle leeren Seiten aus, so bleiben allenfalls 50 Seiten Text übrig. Satzfehler, uneinheitlicher Sprachstil, variierende Schreibweisen - ganz abgesehen von zahlreichen Rechtschreibfehlern wie Fussnote - und Wiederholungen erwecken den Eindruck eines lieblosen Recyclings früherer Beiträge, nicht aber eines planmäßig und mit einem redaktionellen Konzept erarbeiteten Ratgebers.
